I love Scottish folksy tunes. Man technology is amazing, if not for Pandora I'd never discovered this song and many others like it. I was raised on hip-hop, R&B, and Classical. Now I have a new musical love to add to the collection. All smiles.

I also heard this on Pandora and almost forgot what it was and was so sad to never hear it again until I remembered "Whaur will we gang" and decided to try to look it up despite not knowing the exact spelling. Luckily, Google understands. Such a cute and honest love song.

Celtic connections on NPR was how I first heard them, and many others like late rusby and nic Jones. But Bryan kelso crow is no longer with us to bring us that show. R.i.p. Bryan. Pandora was great, but KZitem is where I can actually find all of them without fail. No one else has that...

The singer is Karine Polwart, who is well known as a solo singer in addition to her relatively brief work with the Battlefield Band.

Jennifer Burdoo I thought it might be Karine-- but had no idea she sang with BB. Thanks!

Bekki Bearheart I think this might have been the only album they recorded while she was with them (Jennifer Burdoo was right to describe it as a "relatively brief" period).

Her name is Karine Polwart and she is a fine songwriter. She has recorded some albums of her own.She also sang for a time with the band Scottish band Malinky, and recorded a number of songs on a multi-CD collection of Robert Burns songs.

I’ve also seen the the song attributed to Polwart/Reid. I went to buy a ticket to see Malinky once, met Karine Polwart on the way in - who said it was her last concert with them and the tickets were sold out. I was so disappointed..
