WHB was the big top 40 station in Kansas City in the '50s and '60s. They had a lot jingles. In around 1966-67, this one ran at the end of their newscasts every hour at the top of the hour as the station's Legal ID. The FCC requires stations to identify themselves by call letter and city of license once an hour, and in the '60s, they were required to do it twice an hour. But when WHB ran this jingle as its Legal ID, they weren't quite adhering to the FCC's requirements for a Legal ID. Still, this jingle became a signature of every broadcast hour because of where it ran.
