Hey. Just have to tell you guys how much I love your channel. By far it is my favorite outdoor channel with the best camerawork, editing, and content. But more than that you have inspired me. Since finding this channel I have gotten out more these past two years than in my whole life combined. You’ve inspired me to tackle bigger trips and more miles than I thought possible. Just got back from doing Buckskin Gulch in a day complete with the 15 mile bike ride to top it off. It was epic and awesome! I never would have thought to do that if not for your channel. I’ve also summited more than 20 peaks since finding you. Keep the great content coming. You’ve provided me with a long list of trips to try. Thanks a ton!

"That's one of the benefits of having low expectations all of the time. Things can just turn out great. And then it's awesome." Pretty much sums up the formula of this channel: 1. Go somewhere awesome. 2. Do something awesome. 3. Complain most of the time. This guy takes the mantra I learned in the Army and literally runs with it. 'Expect the worst and then anything that happens better is bonus." It might not be the greatest philosophy for balanced mental health in life. But it does help you get through tough challenges!

Just finding this channel, would that 'Christof' be the Canadian that owns several Gyms? Or just a common coincidence of names? Thanks for sharing your journey up Wheeler! I do lots of sasquatch research, mostly in Utah, but suspected they were up there on my way back from Oregon 9/18. Sure enough, sign ( wood structures) all the way up along the creek (off trail) from the campground to the lakes. Made my day! In your adventures if you hear wood knocks, whoops, screams, or rock throwing, that's what your dealing with.

We just did Jeff Davis last weekend as an out and back from the Wheeler summit and main Wheeler trail. We toyed with doing this route, but opted against it to prevent erosion and preserve the Bristlecone pines since there was no snow covering the ground. It's cool to see some things I've done show up on this channel.

Cool video, guys! This video inspired me to hike it on Labor Day, but I hiked it up and down on the main trail instead of hitting Jeff Davis peak. It was a pretty smoky view from the top, so I didn't have it as good as you guys did view-wise, but at least I didn't smell any smoke and my breathing was not impacted. There are some pretty impressive rock-wall shelters at the top. One had walls that were about six feet high.

Wear your glasses under the cap. Otherwise, they will crash on the ground after your first good jolt. On the other hand, if you aren't worried about losing your pol. glasses, and enjoy upgrading your shades frequently, then do what looks cool to you. Besides, asking your wife for new shades every birthday and Christmas will make her shopping for you a breeze.

We can watch another exciting adventure yet enjoy the fact that we are in a structure that has 1) no wind, 2) foods of various tastes, calories and preparations at our beck and call, 3) hot running water and central heating as well as 4) never having to worry about fashion versus function in relation to a beanie. Would it be safer in high winds to keep the glasses anchored under a beanie? Or would the beanie be torn off if not bracketed by the glasses. Chicken or the egg. Hmmm.

Really interested in the route you took. Is there more info about it that you have? Seems like a much more fun way to summit Wheeler. Do y’all usually go by known routes (even if less traveled) or do you just look at a topo and hope you don’t get cliffed? And I wish you’d bring back the end of day stats at the end of the video like you used to do! It puts it in a little better perspective since the videos are very condensed.
