Interesting project. I ride a GR250 for 7 years now, and the frame looks like new.

Just wondering - did they ship all this stuff to you at no charge, "bro deal" or did you pay regular retail price? IMHO knowing this is important in a world where so many seem to be little more than product shills. That's not new of course, back in the print mag daze it was not much different based on my experience.

This product was sent to me at no charge, and in just about every case, it is returned to the manufacturer. I am not paid for reviews.

Thought for a moment the this video entitled, EDS TX, meant Electronic Data System. A once successful Texas based company with very interesting history. Founded by the late great H. Ross Perot. A former IBM salesman. That would soon change into the juggernaut it became. Incredible story to of success. Although a stretch this group set being electronic & data driven. It’s birth gives rise to what could be a successful platform if they iron out the details. The shark infested competitive waters will dissect this if need be. But I digress O’honorable one. Nice job JOM here as always.

Is this a gravel build? I didn’t catch the projects direction?

It will be, despite the groupset not being intended for this purpose.

Just had a look at the Wheeltop site, and the GeX Gravel group drops 8 October. Rear mech looks 1x, not sure it would work in a 2x set up. Want to run this TX group as gravel too, but I’m concerned the rear mech may not be able to handle the off-road conditions at the cage spring and doesn’t look like theres a clutch to buffet. Im interested if it will be an issue, and if so if the GeX rear mech can be swapped out and work in 2x (or the TX front mech can be put in the GeX group and used with the left shifter). Would the OX/Mountain rear mech handle 2x?

I don't have either of the 1x specific derailleurs yet, but I will run the TX group 2x for gravel. We rode for years sans clutch, I am hoping for the best with this groupset!

@@GravelCyclist awesome, excited to hear about how it performs. Maybe even a comparison to the GeX rear mech in time

Better get the gravel groupset to test

Sure, that is coming, but I will run this groupset on a gravel bike. I am sure nobody else has done this.

Lynskey! Enough said, it will be a great bike.

Really? Perhaps they're better now but back-in-the-day a couple of cyclists from the town I lived in drove to Lynskey's office/shop/factory, got measured and ordered complete bicycles. They were shipped to their LBS for assembly where I got to see them. Neither of the boys were happy with what they got, the fit was awful and the combination of parts/components baffling. Maybe the biggest cock-up I've ever seen with custom bicycles...except maybe most of the SEVEN made-to-measure bikes I've seen over the decades...none of those fit their riders either!

@@larryt.atcycleitalia5786 I can't speak for their custom made full up bikes, or the components they choose to go with them... but I have been very happy with the two frames and fork setsI have from them. Both look great, the welds were great and both have held up well over the years.
