This was not the break up video I was expecting, but I am pleasantly surprised this is how you're sharing it with us. Honestly, this was refreshing - you can really see your personal growth recently and you look so genuinely happy and positive. Break ups SUCK but they really do teach you so much about yourself and life in general.

I do feel like most long term relationships kind of start feeling like how you guys started to feel. I’ve been married since I was 19 and I’m 26 now and if I said there weren’t times we just felt like friends or roommates I’d be lying. I think that’s kind of how it gets when you’re with someone for a while and always around them. My husband gets on my nerves like crazy sometimes. I think it’s easy for people to end relationships because the honey moon phase is over. (I’m not saying this regarding you and Miles because clearly we don’t know the ins and outs of your relationship) but sometimes when you start feeling that way about someone, maybe being bored or whatever, that’s when you gotta spice it up. This video just made me think of that because I’ve gone through it numerous times with my hubby. It’s different also because I’ve committed to him as in marrying him. Just saying relationships are hard and I get where you’re coming from. Thanks for being honest with us, we love you ❤️

But all KZitemrs think they have to share the break of the marriage all that stuff I look at it as this way if they broke up that's their business their need to talk about it. It's like when you go to work and you break up with somebody you're not telling your whole company. I broke up with my wife or broke up with my boyfriend you don't say that. The whole time I've been on KZitem never once told people I broke up with somebody the most of time I don't put them in the videos

Yup my sister has had the same experience in a way. My sister and this guy tried dating several times and it never worked, and finally they ended it and lived separately for a bit. But they realized they work together AMAZINGLY as best friends, and are even back to living together (although that's more to do with my sister's current finacial situation, but then I guess that's even more proof of their friendship). So yea! Sometimes you think you're really into a guy, and maybe you are attracted to them and such, but then you slowly realize that the expectations of a romantic relationship are way heavier than that of best friends, and at the end of the day you really just jive with their personality, but aren't really compatible romantically.

I've always believed that before any other type of relationship, the most valuable one is the friendship one. When all else fails, a friend is the last thing we should lose. That's how we all start with at some point, all added intimacy beyond that is a bonus, but friendship is the root of all relationships. 🙏

First off, you don’t owe an explanation to anyone just know that. Relationships are hard for sure and even harder when everyone wants to know what’s going on. I think your video did so good because we look for someone to relate to, and it’s amazing when it’s someone we look up to. I don’t comment on your videos too often, but I wanted to let you know that watching your last breakup honestly helped me with a breakup that I went through. We all go through breakups. So proud of you - woman to woman ❤😊 you dealt with it so wisely and maturely, and it's important to gracefully let go of things that aren't meant for us - expectations can be so tricky, have you ever read "The 5 Love Languages"? It's incredibly insightful - for example, my husband is a Pisces and his love language is "acts of service" so since I know that about him, I have to take his acts of service towards me as demonstrations of his love...whereas I might miss those demonstrations if I only consider what he does in *my* love language to be showing his love toward me. And mine are "quality time" and "words of affirmation" - mine are more focused on verbal communication, whereas his are more focused on non-verbal. So he puts a little extra effort in showing me love in my language, and I give a little extra effort in showing him love in his, and we're both considerate of the other's "native" language, so to speak, so we aren't missing those demonstrations of love either 😊 Sorry for the long comment LOL that book has just been integral in my understanding regarding relationships and communication, and it's a short easy read so that's awesome too LOL

I think this is really important for couples to understand, may help couples avoid mitigate a lot of heartache and confusion. I also think learning to acceot people for who they are is integral to having a successful relationship. Omg, thank you so much girlfriend for sharing this. I’m just reading through comments ( liking the ones I agree with since I have nothing better to do lol) and your explanation of love language was extremely insightful. Your example of your relationship reminded me of my mine. The meaning of love is different in my ex’s perspective and mine. I thought it meant we’d never mix well, but if you can have a healthy relationship than maybe he an I can too. He’s still patiently waiting for me... Im going to check out that book you recommended. Hopefully learn a bit more about myself... I figured I caused us issues or we just didn’t mix but this definitely making sense now. Sorry for the long rant haha. Just wanted to say thank you.

@@TravelsWithLari You're most welcome beautiful! You are absolutely right, even when people have completely different love languages, it doesn't mean the relationship won't work. It may take more work to communicate and figure each other out, yes, but a lot of times complete opposites match better than those who are more similar, it just totally depends on the people involved! Best wishes in your relationship, love, and I hope you find the book as insightful and priceless as I have! 😊❤

My husband & I dated for 2 years then we were absolute best friends for a couple years + now we’ve been married 7 years! Sometimes you just need time apart to grow as a person + figure out what you want/need to make yourself happy first. Kyle if you don’t mind me asking. How did you manage that? I feel like I’m going through something similar but it’s weird because how do you remain best friends with someone you are in love with? Like what if they find someone else later but you still love them... it’s almost like a double heart break.
@kyleee8
5 жыл бұрын
Tre Bell honestly at first it was tough, we even both dated different people during that time. But we realized that through every change in our life we always called on one another + we’re there for each other no matter what. We didn’t talk a lot about our relationships we were in at the time, but still had respect for the others relationship. We’ve always been really close & we knew at the time we wanted different things in life. We matured a lot over those 2 years we weren’t together, but we also knew if we were meant to be together then it would happen. Anytime something major happened in our life during those times we realized that we would always rely on each other & no matter what we didn’t want to lose the connection we’ve always had so we broke off our relationships bc it wasn’t fair to our SOs & gave ourselves about 4-5 months to be single & find out what we truly wanted & eventually it led us to being together & we haven’t left each other since. Within a year of being back together we had two amazing little boys & got married. It was like at the point we ended up back together it’s like it’s what was meant to happen. Everything fell into place perfectly + our relationship was so different than it was before, but so much better. We had both grew up & matured so we knew how to love each other fully + not let anything else come in the way.

What to Expect When You Fall for the Girl Who's Used to Never Needing Anyone i.e. the strong independent type like Nikki. There is alot to know about this type of woman and it's often the reason why men struggle in believing they can have and keep a woman. Many men find it too challenging. It's the most attractive type of girl in my opinion. This is what to expect when you fall for the girl who is used to NEVER needing anyone: She comes across as a paradoxical mix of outgoing but introverted, very social but seldom out. When you’re so used to not needing anyone, you know exactly who you are, and she’ll never fake anything because of it. This makes maintaining relationships a constant struggle for her. She’ll connect with many, and they’ll quickly feel comfortable with her, but it takes her a while to feel fully comfortable, so she can only take being around others incrementally. This might frustrate you. There seem to be so many walls to break down. Just when you start to feel like you’re figuring her out - you find another piece to the puzzle that throws everything off. Be patient. She’s this tough because she had to be. Something happened that taught her to never need anyone. Someone she needed left before she was done needing them. But none of this will spill out easily. She’s extremely uncomfortable with other people seeing her vulnerable or in pain. Her emotions and pain are hers, and this is what she’s used to. She’ll tell herself she doesn’t need you. She’ll make situations worse by trying to suppress her feelings about them. When you fall for the girl who’s used to not needing anyone, believe that she has more feelings and layers than she knows what to do with. Her instinct will be to try to compose herself. When she does open up to you, it’s everything. Being emotionally naked with someone is how she expresses her love. She’ll know exactly who she is and what she wants. When you’re used to not needing anyone, you do what you want, when you want, and without asking permission or informing anyone. She loves this part of her identity, but she secretly wants you to confront her. She’s hoping that sometimes, you’ll put your foot down, and challenge her stubborn ways. She’s strong, maybe even too strong for you at first. Don’t let this fool you. This is her outer shell. Her armor. She is so used to taking care of herself that it's going to be hard for her to let someone else in. It took a lot of work to get to where she is: Independent, taking no shit and being happy on her own. She's afraid to let you in because she's afraid of what will happen if you might leave. I can promise you it won’t be easy, she’ll hang on to her walls for as long as she can. She will be enigmatic. She will always want things her way, and she’ll fight you when she doesn’t get it. She’ll even try to push you away. This is how she protects herself. But when you really get to know her, she’ll be the girl who will change your life. Don’t always give in to her, but be patient with her. She’s strong, but she’s also scared - scared of love, scared of needing someone, and definitely scared of you. Because even if she says she doesn’t need you, at her core she is just a girl who has more love than she knows what to do with.

I was about to say this. I have a feeling Nikki’s love language is acts of service... Edit to say my husbands is acts of service and that doesn’t make any body hard to love or be with but it is hard for someone like me (physical touch) to really understand how that speaks to love. So I would have your next partner find out theirs as well and kind of discuss expectations together to get a better understand of how best to communicate your feelings. It works well for us to remind each other hey...I need a hug from you, I need you to make dinner to show me you care. And because I love him I’m more than happy to do that now that I understand he doesn’t just want a servant. When he’s trying to show love he does the dishes or something and I’m like back the eff of my dishes and gimme kisses. Hey that rhymed. Okay karen out.

@@nikkiblackketter I honestly think it is amazing to discuss what yours and your next partners love language is. It has helped SO MUCH..we literally had to sit down and go...ok so this is MY love language and what I would like from you and he did the same and it has worked out so well.

@@kareningram5692 that book was amazing. Wish I have read it before my first relationship. Watching Spanish dramas and Disney movies during childhood have had a bad impact of how I was seeing love and how I was expecting a man to behave. Biggest mistake is..he should know this. No, he shouldn't, he is not a mind reader. Communication is key. I show my love through services and sometimes is very hard when the person next to you expects love by receiving a lot of kisses and hugs, but he is also a man of service. Hope you will understand. I meant that my first boyfriend was expecting lots of kisses, hugs, touch, but I have never felt any love from him. We were ok, but he never kissed me by surprise, the help was just when I needed it and asked for me, no 'you look amazing', except when we were in bed. Maybe it was because we were young and never discussed about our languages of love...

I think it’s great that you let things sit for a while and let yourself process it all. Relationships are such a strange things, everyone gets so caught up with projections of what they think the other person should be. People need to remember to allow space for each other as individuals within those relationships. There’s no magical way to make relationships work, it’s a choice to do it because it’s what you want. Sometimes things don’t work out. Sometimes there’s situations where two people just grow apart. It’s so stigmatized when people break up like somebody did something horrible to cause it. They need to know why it happened and that answer has to be wrought with tension when it often times is just that two people don’t mesh. You’ve just got to focus on the ideas of who you are and your core values through it all to get that little nugget of knowledge from it. Relationships teach us so much about ourselves!

I hate that youtubers feel obligated to tell us their personal business. I mean, yeah we'd all be confused if you never said anything, and then we just randomly stopped seeing him around, after your vlogs looked like everything was perfectly fine. But it's your personal business after all. I do appreciate you letting us know the deets, but never feel like you have to. Break ups are hard to talk about. It's like reliving the day it happend. My ex and I broke up 10 months ago. It took me 7 months to completely get over it, and I had everyone constantly asking about him after I changed my relationship status on fb, but didn't post about more deets after that, because it was a difficult break up. There was a lot of isolation. I didn't even tell my closest friends about it for a long time. Love you, Nikki. I am glad you two are still friends. He seemed like a really nice, supportive person in your life. ❤

Do not ever let it get you down!!🍍🍍🍍 Nikki B..it does not matter...if someone walks from you,they're not your destiny.. God knows your heart like no one else.( Even better than you do). God has someone for you, perfect for you! You're a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart and you just focus on yourself and Max. We all love you and none of this matters..what matters is that you're happy with someone that deserves you.. it will happen at the right time
