He was raised on the minority streets of NY and Cali. Violence was all he ever knew, and even if he tried venturing out into some peaceful narrative in his life, the traumas of his past thug life manifested themselves through him. Nas has always been my favorite rapper. The home his parents gave him allowed him to elevate his mindset. I love Pac too but he couldn't control his ego.

It’s crazy because when you truly analyze PAC, he was so ahead of his time in his thoughts about society but he was sooooo immature in his personal and basic human interactions.

Exactly! If he was disciplined enough to allow his actions to match his more positive and socially conscious thoughts and words, he would've indeed been worthy of the respect people give him today. Most would disagree, but he doesn't deserve all the praise he gets for taking up social issues. He spoke the right words at times but he didn't live those words. He was not a peacemaker within the community he spoke so strongly for. He instead aided in keeping it divided, rather than fight to bring it together.
