I've heard that round fish tanks are bad for fish and puts them in a constant state of fear? something like that but I would say do your own research and see if there's a fish that could possibly survive in that little of room because that is also a rather small tank... In my opinion, I would throw away the tank because I would just not wanna take the risk but I think it's important to do your research and make your own judgments

Great job again! About the aquarium... Don't use it. It is too small for fish, maybe some snails or shrimps. Amount of water is too small in that tank to buffer unstabile waterparameters and your fish will die. Bigger aquarium is easier. Also fish are live animals, so check their needs before buying any. Check out aquarium co-op here on youtube. I have had aquariums over 10 years as a hobby and is not like you just throw fish in the water and they are happy. Keep up the great decluttering job!

You and your hubby did such a good job! Unless your son has been constantly (not just a few times) begging to watch fish, I would resell the fish tank. It is amazing how quickly it turns into another piece of ignored clutter, literally like 2 weeks then no one sits there and watches it but it takes daily upkeep. Now if you have someone super into fish, talks about the different kinds of fish, are so interested they have already been looking into the care of fish, then that is another story.
@o0Theresa0o

Agreed. The kids are struggling to manage the toys/stuff they have. Throw in a pet that isn't that interesting but requires constant care? You have yourself a neglected fish and an extra chore for mommy (as if she needs extra work). 100% sell it.
@Mar10la

I would recommend tossing it unfortunately, because it's not a suitable aquarium for any fish. If it's sold, someone else will just put fish in there.

Aquariums are quite a lot of work. You have to clean them every week or two and buy replacement parts etc. I would sell it rather than keep it, as you have so much to keep up with already. The guinea pigs are much more interesting pets than fish too.

Let me share with you my adventures with an aquarium. I bought my two-year-old a small aquarium with two guppies. He loved them for the first 2 weeks, but in six months we ended up having 79 guppies! They kept multiplying and it wasn’t stopping. Plus it was another thing I had to clean and maintain. He lost interest quickly. I finally sold the whole thing on fb!! Guppies=bunnies!!! Just say no.

Some nano shrimps or snails would work, but no fish. Also, please make sure to read (together with your son) about keeping an aquarium before you set it up. For instance, the water needs to be cycled before you put any animals in it.

So happy to see you again! I played twenty items a day for the past few weeks. Trash and recycling was this morning, so all is tidy for us. Breaking down the cardboard for recycling is an excellent starting point. We take weekly to the recycling center with aluminum cans and garden waste. We were careful to drop off any toxic items on special acceptance days, but no longer purchase any toxic substances. Wednesday is anti-procrastination day in Flylady land, so I am still working on bath wall repair. I also have a pickup at the local plant nursery. Wonderful job, keep going! Thursday. I have still another large bag if donations to be dropped off at the homeless center. I cannot give money but help in every way I can.

I'm so, so, so glad I found the Fly Lady System...I could look at the clutter have a timed system and say "I SEE YOU AND I HAVE PLAN FOR YOU" (flylady Kat) then like you little by little I began to be able to let go and toss/recycle or donate more & more things things. It changed my life and it liifted my burdens. What you are doing by sharing your thoughts and showing it also is like watching my hoarding story on replay... There is always hope when you lean on God for strength. I would like to share a few scriptures with anyone who is interested in knowing how you can have a personal relationship with Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Jesus willingly died for everyone's sins and rose again 3 days later so that whoever would believe in the one true God and commit their life to Him(Jesus) would not suffer everlasting torment, but would have everlasting life. He offers salvation as a free gift to everyone who comes to Him. Please come to Him today and receive His free gift of eternal life. -Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God -Matthew 25:46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. Matthew 7:13 -Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. -Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. -Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. -Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. -Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
