Making Paintings Come to Life.
So this abstract art painting was supposed to be straight-forward. However, near disaster came my way with the arrival of lumps in the paint that made their way directly onto the canvas. Fortunately, I spotted them and was able to remove the lumps with some pliers. I guess my lesson is learned - never use old paint that has skin on it. It won't mix up and no matter how much skin you remove from the can, some might make it through to the canvas.
A lot of thought goes into each painting, and I always start with the canvas and how I’m going to construct it. So, in some ways, I feel like I’m a beginner maker or someone who does DIY (badly).
The painting itself, like all of my art, is obviously inspired by Jackson Pollock’s style. That much is all I really want to say about the art itself. To say more feels limiting and wrong to me, but feel free to disagree or let me know what you think in the comments.
My plan is to upload videos each time I make a painting and I’m hoping that will be at least one every couple of weeks.
