If anyone is wondering, yes DMS' voice was still recovering in this video.

The only issue is that these headphones are really hard to find because they're always out of stock and people that buy them don't often get rid of them.

Can vouch for the Borealis. One of the most pleasing sounding headphones I own and quite comfortable too. Hope to hear the Australis one day but they are hard to find new since stock is limited.

Judging by graphs it should be a Nightowl with a bit more bass, more upper mids and a bigger lower mid dip. So probably bassier while being more distant and less veiled in the mids. Both are closed. There's still the biodyna vs dynamic driver difference though which in my experience should make the Nightowl "fatter/weightier" sounding. Just a guess though.

please continue to use the 6XX as a reference for your frequency response graphs--i find using some arbitrary, or otherwise non standard target to be pretty unhelpful. also, why do you like to smooth out the graphs to the degree you do? and do you average both channels together?

I think the design is too generic, bland maybe. Borealis looks really interesting but Australis looks like a 3D-printed school project. For 900$ I expect a bit more flavor in design.
@devote

yea. they look like crap(personally) obviously if they are durable and sound amazing then I can let looks slide but at 900$. it looks too (like you said) school project.

tbf, as someone who is already pretty familiar when it comes to 3d modeling and custom headphone modding (mostly cosmetic), printing your own customized headband is actually really easy, painting them being easier, and by the looks of this headphone, it doesn't seem to be all that difficult to disassemble to have them painted for a few days, and if this really pushes beyond its price point, i might get one just to play around with it

Sir i m currently running a shitty earphones m thinking of getting a new headphones but m not sure which i m a huge pink floyd fan and m comfused around Sennheiser hd 560s akg k702 and beyerdynamic 880 pro (250) all these 3 are basically of same cost here in india I think i can spare some cash and get some ifi zen air dac amp combo as it is cheap I will be greatfull as you are one of that actually know the sound signature and what could be the best Love to hear your input Regards

Hi, my vote goes to Beyerdynamic(excellent sounds stage and build quality). Look at the channel "Z reviews" for more insight into these headphones and DACs, His reviews are long but more informative. To get a best phones I suggest you go to a store which allows you to test these. Everyone ears are different so do check by yourself instead of other people opinions or likes. Always own more than one headphones. I got Hifiman HE400SE, Beyerdynamic DT770 pro, Audiotechnica M40x with Xduoo XD05 plus and Basic portable DACs with Little bear B4X and Xduoo MT602 AMPs. All these combined are less than the cost of Australis and cover my audio needs for both my home and on road. If you need different soundstage invest in cheap OP AMP and Tube upgrades and you will be good.
