As an old white dude, I’ve seen some great ones cross the stage. Michael Jordan and I were in North Carolina (he in college, me in USMC) and he was my first superstar. Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods and Serena Williams followed. @CaitlinClark22 brings that same superstar energy every time she shows up. Great for the kids - and for old guys like me, she’s just fun to watch. I haven’t (until this season) bought a jersey in decades. I proudly am fangirling away while watching the Fever play. Thanks, Miss Clark, for making sports enjoyable again.

That is a crazy, wildly stupid statement. Especially for someone who hasn't even played a full season of professional ball yet. Caitlin Clark played 35 more college games than Steph Did, an entire seasons worth. Steph has almost 3800 made 3's in the NBA (and counting), almost 800 more than second place. And that's with missing over 3 total years due to injury since 2009. Clark would have to hit 4 threes a game for something like 28 seasons (WNBA only plays 40 games a season) without missing any playing time from injury to end up with the same amount of 3's as Steph. His style of play has changed the entire game of basketball. He has 4 Championships as well.... Caitlin Clark hasn't done Jack squat yet. Saying something as if it were fact doesn't make it so. And as far as opinion goes... well it's an awful opinion. Oh and Steph has to do it against men who are actually, you know, athletic and play D

Pistol Pete was crazy, with a crazy entertaining play style (from the videos I've seen, I'm not old enough to have watched him). If Pistol Pete (among others) actually played 4 years instead of only 1-3 (now it's 1 because, of course, the best male players leave for the NBA after a year), Clark could have played for another year and never broke the record. If Pistol Pete played another 56 games, and lets say only averaged 30 ppg, that would have been another 1700 points... People need to stop using the "man or women" record nonsense. If Pistol Pete would have played today (which his game was suited for), with modern rules including a 3 point line.... that would be wild to see. Someone in the comments also called her the greatest shooter ever. I mean just stop... People can't help but be dumb.
