I once missed a flight due to my own incompetence and I had no money for a new flight and was stranded. I never yelled or was disrespectful. I was in tears and kept saying I was sorry for the mix up and the staff did EVERYTHING in their power to help me and worked together with other airlines and got me home at a significant discount. People WANT to help you if you don’t demand it and disrespect those people that you need help from.

January, 1979. Living in Missoula, Montana. Serious marital problems (I eventually left because of her). Had a chance to visit my mom and sister in Ohio . Got as far as MSP when we were informed that ORD was closed due to blizzard conditions and drifting. The airlines wanted me and our ( my now ex, not the airlines. LOL) toddler son to return to Missoula. In tears, I explained about the marital problems, that I had no way to reach my husband, and I wasn't sure he would even pick us up. The wonderful gate agent no only arranged a hotel room (and round-trip transportation) for my son and me, but food vouchers and a morning flight non-stop to Cleveland the next day. I am, all these years later, eternally grateful.

I learn a lot from these videos. The best thing you can do when an officer approaches is step up to them aggressively. The louder the better. If they try to detain you, scream and beg and they might let you go. If you are a different race than them (preferably not white) claim it's race-based - they have to let you go. And if you are the opposite gender they can't search you! When all else fails, remind them that you have rights and you know them and that you WILL call your lawyer (you don't actually have to have one, they will always believe you do).

Oh, the delicious shock and panic from the last girl when she realized for the first time in her life that her self entitled "how dare you" act wasn't going to do anything... just priceless. First it was "what are you even talking about", then "no you're wrong I did nothing", then "ha, actually, my dad's important and I want to speak to the manager", then to "I'm innocent, I did nothing, this officer is in the wrong", and finally ending with "but I'm young and pretty and in college, how could you do this, I'm too good to be treated this way". Even threatening the officer with her dad's apparent position of power and playing victim on the phone with him, then as soon as she realizes she might get in trouble for the weed, throwing her dad under the bus and saying it's his and that he left it in the car, which would lose him his medical card and potentially criminal charges for distributing his prescription cannabis. Just gross levels of entitlement, and unfortunately, she probably saw no consequences legally or personally after getting bailed out by daddy...

I was in a similar situation; phoned the airlines and told them I had missed my flight and did ot have enough money to pay for a one=way ticket. I had flown in to the city for a family members funeral, and they knew this. They put me on hold, five minutes later the woman came back and said I had my return trip covered, no charge. I cried with relief.

I appreciate the care you put into your videos. I sometimes feel conflicted watching this sort of content since it's easy for channels to pump out compilations without much care for the actual people being shown in these videos (e.g., I once saw a video where a woman who was going through a mental health crisis and whom was subsequently killed in her interaction w police labelled as a "Karen"). I feel your channel is different and your narration is usually objective and fair. I can tell by the added subtitling and edits that you are mindful with how you analyze each video. I hope your channel can continue to grow and be recognized as a standard for this style of content :-)
