I wished you asked him about the political subtext of the film. At one point one character claims "the state" planted the possessed individual on his land He also accuses a family (likely foreign nationals and/or members of disenfranchised communities) of squatting. There's also a mention of killing somebody and feed them to the pigs, which mirrors a recent murder case in Argentina (Cecilia strzyzowski), which involved a commune that practiced political indoctrination of kids at school. And if I want to go wild with my interpretation, I feel the movie might also talk about the birth of a seemingly unstoppable libertarian movement in Argentina, propelled by younger new voters that despise older people and their politics (or devour them?) Funnily enough, the film will be released in Argentina two weeks after the presidential elections I am sure people will be talking

I quite enjoyed this movie. I was looking for what I felt to be sub-plot themes, the rules on the world on this movie are solid, folkloric and beliaveable, something I crave in stories and from my upbringing in Brasil. I felt that the town vs rural ideas transcends many cultures. The one that got me is what we in the US called gung-ho in urban dictionary that best describes what I see in latin american culture, someone compulsive, unpatient and when there was the Argentian flag, at least to me I saw a message of that attitude and how it can lead to destruction for lack of oversight. As the rules are well defined it's easier to build other conclusions, although I'm wondering for I believe it was intentional, regardless, that to me takes a movie to a new height, for it allowed me to think beyond the plot.

Well, if gung-go equals patriotic, I don't think there is much left for that in Argentina, except when it comes to soccer. Right now it seems a lot of people are willing to toss the national currency for the dollar. That is the proposal of the libertarian candidate and many are buying it as if it was even possible And all this is the fault of populist governments, both from the left and the right . What I can personally dentify though as an Argentinean, is the need of validation. For instance, when a movie like this one comes around, I like to see what are the reactions to it around the web, maybe a little too compulsively. But, personally, I don't have any flags at home or carry one around :-)
