And for everyone who seems to not be in favour of rehabilitation: why is it that countries which use a rehabilitative justice system have a far lower rate of recidivism than countries that don't, such as the USA? There are some people who can't be rehabilitated. But I highly doubt those kids were among them. They should of course be held accountable for what they did, absolutely. I finally had a few maintenance guys hiding nearby so they could save me if I was getting out of my coffin and some 16 year old wanted to put a tree branch in my chest or choke me...some kids are really, really psychotic! The difficult part is that people don't walk in straight lines without a guideline. You would end up going in circles. You would need something like, a distant mountain, or light, that you can see above the cornstocks. The north star would work on a clear night, the sun during the day. Worst case, as long as you're dressed seasonally, and preferably have some water with you, if it's a cloudy night, you could wait until dawn, then use the sun.

When I was 12-13 (1986-87) my family was at a county fair in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Rock Springs is more like plains or deserts, with no trees. The wind is horrible. The day we went the wind picked up the huge Moon Walker, we call them bouncy houses now, straight into the air spilling children out. It flew across the fair, and a little girl fell out onto the top of another ride. She was airlifted to Salt Lake City but passed away. There were quite a few serious injuries. We didn't realize the severity of the situation and kept on riding rides. We didn't find out until the next day what had really happened. The family of the little girl had to spend months fundraising to pay for that life flight to Salt Lake.

As for that corn maze? Shit! I'm country as a bowl of Butter beans. I'd simply call up my buddy. Fill him in on the situation. And tell him to bring chainsaws and gas! 😂

The 911 calls from the corn maze were ridiculous! Can't find your way out on the paths? Pick a direction and start pushing your way through! It's just corn, not stone walls!

I had a terrifying experience on a state fair ride with my cousin, when I was about 12. It was a wheel ride that rotated the carts as you went up in the air. My harness hadn’t been locked down closely, and there was way too much space. When our cart started rotating I begin to feel like I was slipping out. I was holding on with everything I had, and yelling for them to stop the ride. They did not. In my teens I rode every large roller coaster at Six Flags multiple times, but nothing came close to the terror I felt on that janky state fair ride.

I certainly feel for #10. Same thing happened to me but as a result of a car. Not exactly easy living with a bunch of metal in your face, especially when it's protruding down into your mouth.
