Your "stutter" song's a pip pip Pippin. But the lyrics got me trip trip trippin. Soon to my hip flask I'll be sip sip sippin! Such APPLESAUCE! Doodle Doo Doo and poo pee doop, It's all alotta Alphabet soup. So glad those words ain't on a loop! (meet me in the Essex coupe) 😜 20's APPLESAUCE! Ya got my poor head overheated, For to process words repeated. Tip tip toe? I'm feelin cheated It seems jazz dreams are outta luck! Whoever heard of Tuck tuck Tuck?! 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 KENTUCKY APPLESAUCE! A jazzy tune but oh such farce! You ask my brain Such words to parse! I oughta spank you On the arse! APPLESAUCE!!! Roybo-bo you silly goose, The Keystone Cops shant let you loose. This Supertone shall be my noose! BANANA OIL !! (Have a great day everyone! Best way to thrive, Keep the 20's alive!) Swell tune! Benzo .

@@roybo1930 Seems there was a fad of those stutter titles in the twenties and other titles that come to mind are: There's a trick to pickin a Chick Chick Chicken, Nine. Little miles from Ten Ten Tennessee, Do Do Do What you Done Done Done Before, Baby! What Do We Do on a Dew Dew Dewy Day? And i bet you can think of a lot more good ones! Plus another title fad this song is part of... The "Lane". Thing! Probably started with Swinging Down the Lane. (1923)) A Shady Lane, A Lane in Spain, Happy Go Lucky Lane, etc.

This cheerful and peppy performance is such a wonderful, typical 20s arrangement and performance, I love this! According to Rust, the Red Castle Dance Orchestra recorded only three sides c. August 20, 1928, and personnel is unknown, except their vocalist Carl Mathieu. The present side was issued on Gennett 6572, Supertone 9057 (your copy) and Champion 15552. Thank you so much for sharing!

Harry Warren had some great melodies before his famous movie years, and this is one of them. Unmistakably Harry, too! Good ork on this one, too. Probably hiding behind a pseudonym. Good trombone solo on a later chorus, too!
