He actually did comment in his previous video that he has been playing acoustic guitar for.... @Shredberry

@@Jacob_S13 lol when I was deep into practicing I was playing 10-12hrs a day for the majority of my summer vacation. So trust me, I know that life more than you do. I’ve played guitar 15+ years and have taught students. I know experienced and trained hand movements when I see it. Even virtuosos like Jordan Rudess who is already a piano god exhibits uncomfortable hand movements when he started to relearn guitar in Oct 2021 (he’s now shredding both guitar and piano at the same time). Same thing happens with 9yo prodigies who are playing insane songs with only 3yrs of practice. I’m not hating, I love and appreciate a good skilled and talented player and always find new things to learn from them but in the social media age it’s very common that ppl exaggerate things to get attention. Look even Berth who has close to 1mil sub has been doing gimmicky stuff like adding water and fireworks in his guitar in order to get ahead. It’s the nature of social media. I’m just pointing out the exaggerated nature of this channel because it WILL discourage ppl who are still learning. Ppl who have played longer and still cannot learn Polyphia may give up seeing this thinking they suck but that’s because mot everything you see on internet is 100% true to the appearance.
@Jacob_S13

@@Shredberry You missed the point entriely... can you not play this bit in the video after 15+ years? :D I am not saying polyphia stuff is easy, but this ain't god... Idc if people get discouraged, you either want to be a better guitarist and work for it, or you just say you want to be better and come up with excuses... It is the same with all aspects in life, not just playing guitar. Ofc social media skews things, but even if this guy isnt entirely honest, I still find it laughable how people jump straight to screaming: "Imposssible!!!!1!1!!" Srsly? Btw. I've been playing the guitar for a bit under 5 years, there is no polyphia piece I cannot play. Although I find it hard to believe your 12h/day of practice, it is possible so I wont get into it. You dont need half as much to become a great guitarist, just practice consistently. 10k hours? Maybe. PS. Last one - want to see actually hard shit? Get into classical guitar pieces or flamenco :P

This song works incredibly good as an excersise for hybrid picking, tapping and arpeggios in general, plus it sounds incredible. so what you're saying is you need to practice 6 hours a day for 15 years to play like ichika? thats the stupidest thing i've ever heard for a long time. you DON'T need 6 hours a day for 15 years to cover ichika's song, yes it took skills to play one of ichika's song but its completely possible. what this guy is doing is covering ichika's song and not making and not making a song based on ichika's playing style which would take years to master. also about the $3000 guitar, its his money why would you even complain about it, he made the right purchase to buy an expensive guitar that would encourage him to play more because the guitar he owns has a value on it and not like $100 piece of crap guitar that doesn't play good, doesn't sound good and will make you give up easily because its harder to play and will get you stuck at a certain point. also i dont get why is this disrespectful

@@Shouketsu04 What? Nothing you say adds up. You said you bought this guitar because you "saw him with it and liked it" Why? He only really played it in 2018 in an Ibanez sponsor, he doesn't even use it currently. If you bought it this year because of him shouldn't you have bought his signature Ichi10 instead of the JM?? 4 years ago? Sounds fishy. Feb to dec = 8 months not 10 or 6 + 6 of acoustic that is also 14 or 16 bruh, ur not coherent A language barrier won't stop you, but it will obviously slow you down no? 5-7 hours a day in guitar for half a year is nothing lol. Even for people who go to music uni and don't to overcome learning technique from self taught + put in 5-7hrs a day extra can't do that. plus tone knowledge, plus muscle memory, plus hardware knowledge. bro stop the 🧢.
