I cried when Kobe passed. This took me by surprise. Kobe was a national treasure. Too young, too soon.

The mass media still hates on the Black Mamba. They can't stand how awesome he was and how he carried the torch after Micheal.

I remember being a kid worshipping Kobe. I could never understand why he was so hated. The man was just all basketball.

Truth! Kobe was hated for all the wrong reasons, plus the media circus didn't help either. I was a Kobe hater too, mostly because he tried to be like Mike, but he came into his own and became his own man. Love this vid. Kobe deserves all the praise and love he is getting now, but it's sad that he didn't get more while he was still with us. I regret being a Kobe hater.

Not really liking talking shit about the dead, but both MJ and Kobe proved to be unbearable a**holes for their entire careers. I don't know of anyone mentioning a single positive experience when meeting either of them.

I never hated Kobe and not a Lakers fan. I liked how Mike embraced him. That told me everything.
