I've seen it myself, there are huge signs in Mandarin and English and I suppose mainlanders would understand it. It clearly says that nobody can cross the red line or even touch the the rock. But a lot of them did! I even took some pictures of them violating. There were a lots of tourist like Japanese, korean as well, but mainlanders are the only one who were loud and ignorant. Sure HK’s MTR stations are really inconvienent when you have to go, but surely you can ask the station officers? Mainland tourists are notorious for being disrespectful and rude. I had incidence were I had to tell people off for not cutting queues. I think there were some educational campaigns a few years back in China to teach people how to conduct themselves when travelling abroad, not sure how well that‘s worked. This video was a while back.
