Thats why it pisses me off when the agenda media to promote todays NBA say the golden age NBA players couldn't shoot 3s. There were so many marksmen it's not even funny. Guys like Eddie Johnson, Dan Marjerle, Vashan Lenard, Dennis Scott, George McCloud, Joe Dumars, Steve Kerr, Tim Legler, Reggie Miller, Abdul Raof. The list just goes on. The only thing is they shot under duress, for example the last EJ shot here where MJ contested the heck out of it. Today, the defender would leave Eddie to take the wide open 3. If 90s shooters played today theyd have a field day from 3.

@@halfshot253 Against more concentrated talent, now you have superstars who don't make the playoffs and teams without a championship chance qualifying. I am one of those who thinks that Wilt Chamberlain is the best player in history over Michael Jordan, however as a competitor Bill Russell is the biggest winner. He was a cross between Dikembe Mutombo, Dennis Rodman and Phil Jackson. Yes, because he played and coach at the same time. Bill Russell's legacy is one of the greatest in history.

I remember this game. It was insane. This was either the last game or 2nd to last game of the season and the Bulls could easily have made it back to back 70 win seasons but Phil chose to rest guys for the last 3 games of the season. In this game MJ, Scottie and especially Rodman who was hurt anyways were all being rested. Even Harper didn't play much. And I remember the Pacers building a big lead, then Phil puts MJ back into the game with like 3 mins to go and the Bulls storm back to tie the game. There is truly nothing more entertaining in sports than a Bulls run. You'll have more fun watching a 90s Bulls game where they were down and came back than a seesaw Bulls game. That last play was a bs call too. MJ didn't foul Johnson. Hi-fives are not fouls so definitely fingertips is not a foul. They could've won back to back 70 win seasons if Phil forced the issue. But he was smart and rested guys. Kerr was not smart, went and got the 73 wins only to lose in the playoffs.

The double team prompted him to make his move. It wasn't a good play from the jump. MJ shouldn't have started with the ball with so much shot-clock left. Kukoc should've started the possession with the ball and then MJ go to get it with about 10 seconds left. Having the ball early gave the Pacers time to react with a double team.

And, Eddie Johnson was born and raised in Chicago, and said that he's a Bulls fan, when he wasn't playing against them. Funny how he was SO pumped, doing this against his hometown team! I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. If I played for the other team, and had to make a big play to beat the Sonics, I would feel SO apologetic! Think about former classmates and teachers in the stands and audience, whose hearts I would break.

@@youtuber3328 The West was really tough. The Nuggets team that beat Seattle in 1994 was loaded with talent despite them being an 8-seed. Utah needed 7 games to beat Denver that year. The West in the 90s was stronger than the the Western Conference teams from the last 10 years. I am sure there are some good Seattle Supersonics docs here on KZitem. Seattle was such a deep team and built a lot like todays NBA teams.
