A long time ago I saw this web cartoon where minor Zelda villains decided to try and kill Link and succeeded only to be horrified when they realized they had doomed Hyrule to eternal darkness. @maddeninggamer

@@wdcain1 Happy Hour never did a Legend of Zelda series that wasn't voiced by Dexter Manning who has since gone independent-ish and is with Dorkly now as a voice actor. Aside from this it nearly always was in the "If Smash Bros was Real" series outside of a few cameo appearances in similar shows like Sonic for Hire where both characters are bemoaning their lousy lives after their games ended. Dorkly has also never had a similar series either (to my knowledge) as their specialty around the time was more in vein with short animated one-off spoofs versus any serialized shows like Pokemon Rusty. This probably was a really short lived series on Lowbrow is my guess; similar to what WDCain said.

@maddeninggamer
2 жыл бұрын
Voice actress in this series was listed under "Teru McDonald" (not her actual name). It's unfortunate, but it's pretty much impossible to tell. A lot of Machinima's old VA's have distanced themselves from the older series and Machinima in general. Sort of like how 2B's voice actress used to do supporting voice work for Sanity Not Included and deliberately keeps that off her IMDB. CounterSpell was made in 2014 which is the same year the original HunniePop came out so it's possible. Voices are slightly different though, but that could be the difference between studio work + editing and at home recording

*Finally, it's back! (in full..)* I've always found the idea of traditional RPG bosses or really any other generic fantasy enemy monsters that only exist to be slain by self-righteous, pricks, the so called *"heroes"* or overly entitled adventurers to *actually think logically about their existence* and choose to embrace new strategies in order to avoid their usually forgone fates and reach unprecedented peaks of glory as they overturned the system set against them. I seriously hope to see if not a sequel to this gem of a animation maybe atleast some spinoffs or even just some *"spiritual successors"* that explore such an interesting concept more! Having villains, especially at first lower tier enemies meta-gaming and taking advantage of bullsh*t RPG mechanics, especially grinding to *"leveling up"* with "EXP" (or "skill points" depending on the system) in order to gain a sever advantage over the would be *"do gooders"* or questing adventurers is such a fun idea to explore! But anyway, I'm glad to have watched this old one once more, here's to you RPG monsters and bosses as you fell ALL those in your path...and for those you cannot slay (yet..), may you outrun them! **raises chalice**

@@lycanbladefang4768 And self-righteousness in the sense that the narrative usually sides with the protagonists i.e. the adventures. For heroic fantasy it's pretty much a guarantee that they will come out victorious, that villains are either too dumb or to overconfident to realize that they won't have a shred of a chance at succeeding if they stick to standard conventions like sending in waves of minions or allowing their powerful lieutenants to get killed, one by one which only seems to make the heroe stronger and eventually strong enough to challenge the head villain(s). Not to say they can't win but I like seeing an intelligent or even wise villain knowing when to engage and knowing when to flee, not always guaranteed to work but atleast they show that they know what they're doing instead of being blindly arrogant or just being oblivious to the threat posed by the hero or champion or whatever else was sent by destiny to kill them and unravel their plans.

Although the animation can be janky and inconsistent at times (like veils disappearing while they're still being worn), this short film is a lot of fun!
