It all depends on the culture. In Scandinavia, people really value their independence. If you would go to a disabled person, seemingly struggeling and ask him if je needs help, they would be very very very offended. They want to be deemed as regular people that have the dignity of a person who isn't disabled. They'd rather struggle through a meal and say " I did it myself", then be fed and feel diminished. They would seriously get angry. So it's not always rudeness. It's sometimes more about boundaries and respect that works different in every culture.

The young man was helping and telling him that he will be okay one day, asking him to try to eat with his hands so he can do it himself in future and not rely on others. I found it to be great because he was actually teaching him how to eat so he can do it in situations where he's alone. that was beautiful.

The first girl touched me the most. She just looked, but when she saw that the person definitely couldn’t cope, she didn’t think she extended her hand. It would seem that usually, in such situations, it is necessary to ask, "Do you need help?"and then act, but she seemed to help without even thinking. Isn't it touching

When I say to people that I love China and I love Chinese people, they are always judgmental because they judge the country and its people according to the media and stereotypes. This channel shows perfectly well why I love China and Chinese people ! I was skeptical myself and it’s not a perfect place but when I went there as a foreign woman by myself , so many people helped me so kindly , never ever I have met such kind hearted and warm people in my life . Later, I got an academic degree about China because I was so impressed with the people and culture

This is why I love Chinese people so much. The kindness they show strangers is amazing. If you show respect to them it is returned. Americans need to take example of their good nature. If this experiment was done here I fear most would watch and or laugh. There are some good people here granted but not many would should this level of respect. I love these videos he makes to show how good hearted people are.

@RecoveringChristian
Жыл бұрын
No. They don't like to see that. Invisible disabilities like the deaf girl, yes. OK. But anything visible is a no no. Even if they did have someone with an actual disability (like in the korean social experiment vids), they would STILL chose the non disabled handsome actor instead. Here he can pretend and act and when the scene is done he can stop acting like he has a disability. How fortunate. The logic behind some fans of this channel are, "disabled people don't like to be schlepped around all day". But elderly seniors and children do. Great intentions but tone deaf in execution, still 10-20 years behind the rest of us.
@RecoveringChristian
Жыл бұрын
@@giuliab8484 no it's just unsightly for their audience and for them. If south korea can have MULTIPLE disabled people participate across VARIOUS channels, why can't China? They still rather just glamorize it to make some money.
@LaowaiDaveJCP

@@RecoveringChristian ask yourself if SK can have BTS why don't your country have that? I bet you must be thinking "there are billions of Chinese so why can't they find one or two disabled actors?" They're based on a small(in Chinese standard) city with limited resources + they have talented actors so why bother? What glamour are you talking about? + the entertainment industry of South korea in general is very advanced than China which means acting, dancing, singing or other arts as hobby or profession are extremely mainstream in Sk.

Seeing these kind people step up to help a stranger nearly made me cry. I have a tremor, which can affect my hands significantly. One day, as I was trying to insert my credit card into the card reader at a cash register, the cashier RIPPED it out of my hand and did it herself. I was too shocked to respond, but sat in my car crying for half an hour before I could even drive home. It just takes a little kindness - treat people with dignity...
