My rule of thumb is that if my deck wasn't built to work with pokestop, don't use it unless an item card can win me the game

It can be worth using if you don't need a support and you have a super rod in your hand.

Loved this vid! The in-depth explanations for different cards are really helpful for newer players, and this is a great card to start with.

This one is easy ! The answer is "Never" 🤪 unless your deck is built for it. Usually, this means your deck has no Supporters at all. There are currently only 2 types of decks in the Standard format that can or should be built this way - Lunatone/Solrock decks and No-Supporter Claydol decks. Please correct me if i am wrong 😛

Most turbo decks play a lot of items like Moon and Turbo Lost Box, and are perfect to use PokeStop.

@@RealmsTCG Unfortunately, i think we all have seen such decks discarding 3 Supporters or 3 Pokemons at a time. It is both simultaneously hideously funny and very sad 😅

There are those 'In Case Of Emergency' situations, where you have no other options. (Of course it is usually better to just hit the Concede button instead)

@@chenyong9027 PokeStop is perfectly balanced, just in a different way from other trainer cards. With most Trainer cards, there's usually a risk to playing them, making them balanced. Professor's Research is a great example, because you have to discard your hand (which can have important cards), but you have a chance of drawing a mid, good or bad hand.

Should I concealed cards or pokestop first? Does it matter?

It's a case by case basis. For example, if you need super rod and then need to draw the super rod, you have to pokestop first. On the other hand, pokestop discards random cards which makes it potentially deadly, so if you just need a specific card you might wanna radiant greninja first and only pokestop if you have to. If you are certain you want to pokestop tho, do that first unless your deck only plays 1 type of energy
