Don't get me wrong. I really like the current senior lifeguards such as Chappo, Jake, Harrison, Will, Reidy and the newer lifeguards such as Lachie, Faddy, Chase, Eddy, Wally, Jack. But sometimes I miss the old lifeguards and their personalities such as Terry (R.I.P), H, Matt Dee, Brad, Azza Graham, Kobe Graham and - of course - Bacon (best lifeguard ever). We can't turn back time, but sometimes I get nostalgic. :-) Thanks for this beautiful clip.

Watching Mouse & Sammy save the 2 year old girl gave me goosebumps 🥺 whenever I hear of a child or adult being saved, after showing full signs of drowning (ie blue lips) & resuscitated, I can’t help but immediately think about “dry drowning” …. if not followed up at Hospital, & thinking that person is “fine” it’s an extremely high percentage “dry drowning” will happen within the next 12-24 hours & no amount of resuscitation will bring them back 💔 Knowing that little Noah spent 2 days in ICU tells me she still had water in her lungs. God Bless Bondi’s experience 🙏🏼

Reedy (sp?), it's not "a massive bee hive", it's actually quite small and they're just in the process of looking for a new home, because their queen has led them there. Sad outcome.😢

Poor bees were only trying to protect their Queen. You should have called a bee expert to move them rather than let that guy drive in the rain and allow them to die. Bad form.

They’re lifeguards not bee experts, plus they couldn’t exactly tell the guy not to leave in his own car

@@frances1227 Well, nobody is a bee expert except bee experts, obviously. You’d think at least the useless vet that they called would have had an idea who to call. We don’t have enough bees on this planet but that guy has to get home, rather than wait for advice. Whatever.

It's unfortunate but they have to prioritise the safety of the public (young children and those with allergies and pets would be at risk of getting badly stung). And they did call a vet. Which, while not exactly the same as calling a bee/wasp expert, does show that they genuinely wanted to remove the bees safely if it was possible. Thing is, they mentioned the bees would occasionally get aggravated and with an oncoming storm they couldn't safely hang around and wait. They had to let the car owner leave and hope the bees could hold on until off the main road, sadly that didn't happen. (There's also a chance that the hive didn't have a queen given the fact they'd clung to a random backpack. I've seen beekeepers have to introduce several queens to a hive before the hive would accept a new queen.)

I assumed the Bondi Lifeguards aided the other 2 beaches, Tamarama & Bronte, but not necessarily Patrolled them! Are those beaches patrolled by a smaller group of Lifeguards, so Bondi Lifeguards aid them? Or are there no Full-time Lifeguards or Lifeguard tower on either beach?

That poor bee hive :( Likely, those bees were swarming (relocating to a new home) They just needed a keeper to come and collect them and release them into a hive box. Poor things got chucked down into a wet parkinglot... hoping the queen survived and they managed to survive D:
