His wrong takes are intentional. He's the type of guy that tells you on the record I play it this way. Live I make this substitution because it's easier and more repeatable so either is technically correct and has the confidence to stand behind it.

Its not magic, it takes a lot of years to get where he is, he was killer in the childhood also and grew himself this much with a lot of hardwork and practice, without making mistakes nobody reaches this level, I am sure people who are doing the hard work knows what I am talking about, great humble guy is Tim and super talented, I wish him all the success in the world.

I have seen John Petrucci improvising really really bad on a Periphery's track and that does not mean that John is a shitty player.
