No necessary, because he is around that age where all he wants is to be with his mom, and it’s a new place with strangers so he would obviously stick with his mom. Trust me I was just like that but now I am fine with not being with my mom

Very true! Its not going to hurt the child to sit on the stool or stand beside her. Its not going to hurt the child to be put down and learn to be without mommy all the time. Its really not good for the childs growth to be clung onto his mother all the time cause it does 100% cause things like separation anxiety. Hes clearly not a baby anymore so he doesnt need to be coddled all the time. But its not my child and people will parent how they will parent, even tho many of us know that some things clearly arent good.

I know this probably won’t help but I remember when I was a toddler I used to have that problem and I seriously couldn’t get over it, my mom couldn’t find any way to get me to sleep on my own. Even though I’m only twelve and am not a parent yet, hopefully my experience with my 2 year old brother could maybe help- if you try sleeping with him in his own bed until he falls asleep, then move back to your own bedroom it’ll train him to learn that his room is just as safe and comfortable to fall asleep in as yours, and he’ll get used to it. It could be a lot of work, but I hope this somehow helps. Thanks!

Came straight to the comments to say ab how this kids gonna have some separation issues, people alr knew😭good on them for sayin it. like,, this kid is never gonna wanna separate or be far from his mom because of the way shes giving in to his wants but not needs, she needs to teach him about the fact she cant always be there and he cant always have what he wants. My mum was never this bad with me, but when it came to going to bed i loved cuddles and just being asleep next to her, and her never having the guts to stop me from doing that caused me to be anxious to sleep in my own bed, making me sleep in her bed until i was in year 8, aka when i was roughly 13. Im glad i got over it. Its a serious thing to deal with separation anxiety, it sucks ass. Apologies that this is so long, have a good day or night, idk if anyone could be bothered to read all of this😭😭

@@69yenko65 yes, it is normal. Doesn’t mean it’s easy ofc. Many people can often find children’s need for constant contact triggering or unbearable. I find however that the lack of support moms/parents receive is more of the root cause for that rather than the child’s needs in and of itself. It’s also a fact that now a days, it’s become super *normalized* for young children to be trained to be disattached or independent from their parents from a young age (I.e, sleep training in infancy, the ‘cry it out’ method’, spoiling by holding, etc.) even though that is in fact biologically abnormal during the first few years of our lives.
