Tutorials and tabs: / sebastiside
This is how I think when organizing my ideas for creating a song.
I like experimenting with synths quite a lot, so this song is full of them, and I think they are a good fit for the modern metal riff style that I like use. I really want to create more songs using this style.
The visuals I used for representing each instrument is just the MIDI information I recorded from cubase, which is my DAW. It is not perfectly accurate, but I think it serves it purpose. As for the synths, I created many of those sounds using the default Cubase instruments such as Retrologue and Padshop. The distorted drums are from the "Damage" library, but there are multiple ways for creating those sounds.
In general I used a lot of samples for creating the atmospheric effects in the intro, rest and the ending. I am not the best at mixing, but I tried my best because of how much I liked this song.
