I think it's sad that in Africa white people living below the poverty line aren't even acknowledge as existing. In South Africa there's an entire community of disadvantaged white people. Thing about poverty is, it really sees no color. And efforts to end it require helping EVERYBODY who needs it.

It is not politically correct to feature starving white Africans, that would badly damage the collective superiority persona of the white “race”. Besides, featuring black kids on TV evokes more pity which then translates to more donation, 75% of which goes into private bank accounts

22:12 Wow this brought up an old memory that's pretty ironic considering what he says here. I used to have a neighbor that I knew for years and for as long as I knew him he would take 4 of the best tv's you could take from walmart every month (one at a time). If your wondering how you take something that big without being obvious it's quite simple, act like you already own it. He would literally just go grab one, put it in a cart or ask for a dolly, and walk straight out the front door with it and leave. However he would always tip very generously which was uncharacteristic of him. He never dined and ditched and would tip AT LEAST 25% every time. I always assumed he used to work in a few restaurants in the kitchens.

If not for De Beers' 1947 "A Diamond is Forever" Campaign, we probably wouldn't have them now. In the 1930s, when demand for diamond rings declined in the U.S. during hard economic times, the De Beers Company began an aggressive marketing campaign using photographs of glamorous movie stars swathed in diamonds. Within three years, the sales of diamonds had increased by 50 percent.
