One way to look at where prices are headed for Vancouver over the next decade is to look at the current prices in the pre-sale market. This shows what it currently costs to buy the land, get the zoning and permits, run it thru the NIMBY’s, and City hall, hire an architect, builder and marketing company, pay for the material and holding costs and deliver a finished product. When you look at the price per sq foot plus GST that they are selling these homes at, it makes tangible product in my opinion look fairly attractive.
