Hi Aaron! you don't know me, I am a relatively new subby of yours and I am no way near an artist like you are...but I am an old lady… LOL and you know what they say about being old and wise...LOL i'm not sure if that is true but what I observe are some very heavy duty life changes going on here… No more school… New job. Sometimes life just gets in the way of our creative flow. My advice as an old lady for what it's worth, RELAX!! stop being so hard on yourself! Your art is a part of you it hasn't gone anywhere it's still there it will come out again when it's time…PS a little prayer never hurts either! Love ya! Marsha-ZeeCee Creations

You are such a goof ball checking yourself out. Made me laugh. Great smile for sure! A couple recommendations for you because I have absolutely been there with zero mojo and it's about more than creativity. 1. Rearrange your craft space. This always helps. 2. Get out and party. Serious, go out and socialize. 3. Marble art with your kiddo. They inspired like no other. 4. Get out in nature. Listen to the sounds. Take pictures and just breathe! 5. Stop trying so hard. What did you think? You would wind up with an end all be all masterpiece ever time you spent time in your craft room? Listen, I'm not being a jerk right now but it might come off that way but seriously, you need to stop with the unreasonable expectations of yourself. If it truly is about just letting go and creating what you want when you want, then whats with the holding yourself to such high standards and expectations? It's okay to do a video of the same technique. It's okay to share something that isn't your favorite. It's okay to just step away and stop creating for while. Its okay to create something and not share it with anyone else. It's okay that no one else understands why you create your art in the first place. You owe nothing to anyone regarding your creativity. It does what it does and all you can do is get out of its way and let it happen. Right now my friend, you are in your own way. Have a drink, relax, rearrange your space and stop feeling like you HAVE to do something so you can get on with doing what you want to do. Whether that's art, school, work family, it doesn't matter what it is but get on with it and get out of your own way :o) Big hugs. Mwah!

Wow Aaron, you've certainly got the love and support here!! I've read a lot of good bits. I, too, have "wise" on my side 😊. The mention of mourning is pretty right on too. Also I think we find find our art to be a great steam-releaser and you just don't have the intense stress right now... I'm sure the muse will find another outlet to flow through now that your life is re-arranging. Never worry about us! Nice of you to check in... particularly with such gleaming toofers! ! congrats BTW. We shall patiently wait for Aaron to visit one of these days.

I totally understand your funk. I've been then, lost my mojo and drive to make KZitem videos. I do scrapbooking mainly and got in a real rut after being sick and doing a video a day marathon for a month, but then I found art journaling and got creative again! So my suggestion is to find a new creative avenue and experiment! Could be anything, could be creating a large canvas, a mini journal for a friend, an altered project, pen pals, fauxbonichi style journaling, make a comic strip...anything! Just something that lets you be creative in some way, but in a different way than normal :)

Maybe once Summer finally packs it's bags and get's the hell out of here and the majesty that is Fall comes around your drive will come with it. I'm usually at my peak of creativity when the transitional seasons come around and just a dried up husk of an artist during the Summer. I discovered your channel last year looking for Halloween art and I hope you come back around for it this year.

Aaron, I work in many creative modes--blogging/essay writing, fiction writing, songwriting, and visual art--and sometimes they all just seem to dry up. This is especially true for songwriting for me at the moment as I've had laryngitis for nearly a month which doesn't lend itself well to singing. As such, I've been trying to focus on other things to keep my mind just chugging along, including hyper organizing my calendar, keeping up on my e-mail and with my friends, just anything to keep my mind from going idle. I went through a similar period the summer following graduating from college last year, feeling lost and directionless, so I completely understand what you're feeling. It takes time to get back into a groove, and you can't rush it. A huge help for me to get back onto a path was to just take out a good ol' pen and paper with a line down the middle and write down the pros and cons of different decisions I had made or would soon be making. Maybe a good thing for you would be to write down what you love/have loved about making art on one side and the pains in the ass about it on the other. Do a separate one for sharing on your blog and You Tube. Once you've identified the specific reasons why you're feeling blocked, then you can figure out ways to either move them completely or work around them. I hope I've helped somehow and can't wait to see you creating again. I'm included in the many who've missed your bold colors, humor and knowledge! Best, Joe

Hey Aaron! I have been one of your behind-the-scenes subbies as well. I keep saying that am relatively new to doing all things craftsy - but it basically means that I suck at it! There for awhile I really got into doing things in my little art corner and trying to use all the youtube vids of my favorite artists for some inspiration. But, somewhere along the way, I too lost any desire to create. But, whereas YOU are extremely talented and good at art, I unfortunately am not. ( Hey...I'm not putting myself down or anything, but it is what it is....no shame lol) I think a lot of my problem is the fact that I am unable to create the things that I want due to my lack of talent AND the fact that I don't have a lot of funds to invest in my hobby. And believe me I've heard it all before about just using the stuff I can (i.e cheap supplies from the dollar store etc....) but even then, without the creative juices flowing and the desire to create, it really doesn't matter. We recently moved into a new home and I was SO excited to have another little area to call my own, but I find that now that I have finally got it arranged, I STILL don't have desire to create. Although I am still watching all my fave artists create and am loving what they share, I have been unable to get my "mojo" back. I go down to my art corner and pick up a brush and some paints and am just frustrated by the fact that no matter what I do, I can't seem to find that "thing" that made me feel creative. So, I can totally understand where you're coming from and hopefully can figure out what to do to find it again myself. That being said...(yes ...I am a wordy bee-otch ..lol) I love your vids, I think you are hilarious and you always make me laugh as well as feel inspired. I am looking forward to watching you create again (Halloween is coming up hint hint), and I wish you the best. Nice grill btw.......you crack me up!!

Aaron! Sweetie! it's good to see you again. You look Marvelous, Darlink! Love your shiny new smile! OK, so what has always worked for me to clear a creative log jam, is to put on some music (I like Jean Michael Jarre or something by Beethoven or Tchaikovsky), hold a colored pen or pencil in your hand near the edge of a piece of paper, close your eyes and when the music moves you, put the pen to the paper (keep your little eyes closed now) and draw a line - wavy, jagged, loopy, whatever the music inspires- from one edge of the paper to another edge, do it again, if you want. Or leave it. Now open your eyes and see what you have. You can make the line thicker in places, fill in loops with color or pattern, whatever you want. The idea is to let the music get into your head and body and guide you. Give it a try and see what happens. Sending pictures to you soon. Love you bunches

I am a flibberty-gibbet and I do lots of different craft things at once. So when I am not feeling inspired to work in my art journal. I crochet, knit or sew. Maybe try making a few of your own art journals in different sizes in different textures. That way when you are ready to create your art again they are all ready to go. I like to make my own art journals. I made what you call a Donna Downey inspired one and my own leather notebooks with watercolour papers in it. Then if you are still not feeling it. Fill one whole journal up with backgrounds, do a background a day. Who cares if you never go back to finish them they are only backgrounds and only paper. The most important thing is don't put the pressure on yourself to create for anyone other than yourself. Do it because you need to and want to and it will come when it is ready. We will all still be here waiting to see what you have been up to. Love that new smile.. :)

It's pretty typical to feel "rudderless" when you go from having a packed schedule to one that's looser. I know that I used to do a lot more art when I was working than I do now -- now that I have all the time in the world! Just don't push yourself, and one day you will probably think "I need to do a journal page about that!" and off you'll go. Let yourself rest for a while (and don't judge yourself) -- you deserve it!

Taking a break can sometimes feel terrifying and the mental blocks can start to stack up. A feeling of a lack of control can be overwhelming. BUT I find that if I grab a stack of sticky notes and a black pen, look for zentangles on pinterest, and just sit in front of the tv doodling patterns all over "non-committal" papers the overwhelming portion slowly dissipates. The repetitive motions of tangling help to relax my hands and mind. I got into a mental block where I was feeling like my art was wasted if it wasn't recorded. So I created this place in my mind where I couldn't sit down with my friends and enjoy just creating things because the camera wasn't on. The sticky note thing really helped me step back and remind myself that I do it for me, that I choose what to share, and that I don't have to cherish everything that comes from my mind, heart and hands. Best of luck.

I just recently went through the same thing. I did art work everyday and then BAM!!!! I just stopped. It lasted for about 3 months. I didn't "miss" it because I had other things to occupy my time but since I spent sooooo much money on my studio, I felt guilty I was wasting my money. So I just started watching artistic KZitem videos. It was the burst of inspiration I needed. Now I can't stop painting, drawing etc..... I'm in love with my space all over again. Your teeth look great by the way!!! Congratulations on graduating from school

sorry to hear you are struggling. sometimes when life circumstances change (like a new job), you start pouring your energy into that and there's no mojo left to put into creative endeavors. ride it through and trust that it will come back when you need to express again. do you keep a private art journal? have you tried using some prompts to get yourself going? personally I find when I'm in a funk just organizing and going thru my supplies can help get me moving. good luck and take care of yourself! Nice smile!

I had this problem a few years ago and started again right at the beginning with craft kits and really basic stuff. As I made them up I began to think of how I could add to them. My creativity then went in directions it had never been before. Don't push do what you feel like doing and if that means creating without the designing go for it. Don't worry.

I just found your channel and I absolutely enjoy watching your creations and listening to you. You are not only inspirational but you make me literally laugh out loud. I am a horrible artist, can't draw to save my life, well, if you want a kindergarten look I can most certainly do that. I have always kept a handwritten journal and am just now discovering how wonderful and happy an ' art journal' makes me feel to create something that " I think" is great and that I created. Thank you for your channel and giving me inspiration.

i watched this a couple of years ago and felt so sad...hadn't even gotten to watch your videos and could relate to your dilemma... fast forward to now... i think we're all going through seasons of growth...and to move forward, something(s) is let go of, until some new momentum and balance track is laid... i feel this way now, i watch lots of others diy's, focus on a few things i know keep my interest, and try new approaches to a few areas i started and didn't know how to continue as a newbie. but the angst of not feeling compelled toward creative endeavors feels like a limb is missing. don't know how that comes about, the usual suspects may be part of the issue, like stress, or not enough variety somewhere, or worries about kids, or crap going in the world that makes no sense. mostly i feel growing pains, more emotionally than physically like a kid, and even mentally, spiritually, all areas i think creative folks get nourishment and inspiration from . when the muse feels absent or far off, it's an uneasy adjustment. thank goodness for family and friends, right?

sometimes we all need a vacay from something we love. i call it burn out. your art will come back to you when the feeling hits. let time be your guide and don't force yourself to try because when you force your self the more you pull back and maybe quit altogether. so it will be ok not to do art.maybe some new art will inspire like scrap booking? photo taking. i have this problem from time to time and i just leave it alone and then sometimes out of the blue the urge comes back. but i think you just had enough media art and taking a break is good once in awhile. you might get something out of the blue to get the media art juices flowing. but if you don't have the drive anymore on certian things,it could be you might have depression as well. but only a dr. can say. but i think a break is good for you to get the urge back in art i just started back again with the media art and i always try to do new things. all the best! :)

I understand how you feel. I am a new empty-nester and it has been a challenging transition, including the creative funk. My recommendation is that you try to share yourself with your child through your art. Share your thoughts, life lessons, goals, dreams, places you love, places where you find inner peace, etc. My children are now 20 and 22 and I discovered that this transition in my art is of real interest to them. It also leaves something for them to pass on to their children some day. Take care and congrats on the removal of your braces. You look Marvelous. :), Sharlene

Hi, I been watching you for a while and you have inspired me, given me confidence. Many times you have said you don't have to be perfect and to just create. I started out years ago painting canvas's. I caught videos on art journaling recently, and I thought they were silly and then I started my o first journal and now I can't stop creating more. I am now on my forth journal! I've noticed my artwork has improved since my first journal. Back to you, I've missed you and was wondering where you went. I will be praying for you to get your creative juices flowing again. Hey Aaron! Good to see you and hear you. :) I only had time to watch half the vid so far - got to where you love you job (YAY!)...so as far as losing your mojo -- I think creativity ebbs and flows. Sometimes we need time to recharge. I'm a metalsmith (hobby, not the FT job) and I have often had times where I go to the studio WANTING to be creative and then blech...nothign happens. Sometimes it helps to clean my workbench, or sketch or whatever, but sometimes nothing helps. I've learned to just walk away. Recently I have walked away for a longer period - it's been MONTHS since I made ANYthing (until a week ago) - and while I had little bits of anxiety here and there, I was ok with it. I AM ok with it. Life is life and sometimes things just aren't filling a need or whatever. Maybe finishing school has been a little bit of a let down (maybe a bit of depression...?) My only real advice is #1 - don't stress over it and #2 - do other things you love or that bring you hapiness (family, hiking...shopping, whatever) and if the journaling is meant to be, it will come back. Whatever happens - you're still awesomesauce. :)

Aaron, It was SO great to hear your voice n see you. I'm relatively new, but I've missed ya like crazy, and your wife's comments in the background 😉 love ya both 😘 But... What I really wanted to say. Just stay on a break. Really. Like I miss you to death! But, art has to have passion behind it. Like you said, why create if you don't feel like you just HAVE too. Don't force it. The time n inspiration will come when it comes. I put down my paintbrush n pens n charcoal n EVERYTHING for 2 years. It took THAT LONG to get my mojo back. But I'll tell ya, when I got it back, it was like finding myself again. And that feeling was AMAZING! I sincerely hope it doesn't take 2 years for you to get yours back, but if it does... We'll be here when you're ready to come back. I wish you and your family the very very best and I hope everything is well and you find yourself again soon. Best wishes friend 😊❤️

Looking great Aaron! Seems you have been overwhelmed by the feeling you have had to create because of your followers rather than allowing yourself to do something just for you. From my own experience recently I found myself thinking of walking away from a part of my life that I really love because the pressure to be what others needed me to be rather than what I wanted. Like you i took a break from this part of my life for a couple of months and decided to go back to the beginning of why I got started in the first place. Soooo going back to the start, doing something for me rather than everyone else has helped me rediscover the passion I had lost. Hope this helps, much love, Anne

Laurey had a good idea! Choose like 3 or 4 cards to follow and see what happens! Nice teeth! :) Also look at other You Tube videos of different artists and see what kinds of things they are working on! :) There are a couple of other artists on You Tube that use the deck of cards idea and it seems to help. :)

I think it is normal to have creative blips. I'm sure it is something shared with many creative people. What is harder is that you are a public face and have an audience and that adds an extra layer of pressure. My advice would be to stop seeking inspiration in your studio. You are a creative person and that can never be extinguished but the means in which you choose to express your creativity will change over time. So leave art journalling alone until you are ready to return to it.Your creativity will express itself in other ways. Go and look at other routes to inspire you whether it be writing, or playing games or photography or designing Lady Gaga outfits. You are a joy to watch but you owe your subscribers nothing. We get to enjoy your work for free and anyone who understands the way that an artist works will know that you can't force creativity. Go and enjoy your life and your lovely family and if the mojo returns we'll all be still here just waiting to see you (whatever road your creativity takes) Ali : )

Dearheart, I saw your "Where Have I Been"? video and I did understand what you were sharing with the world, totally. After I watched it I wanted to comment immediately to say to you that the internet world is so full of highly insecure people that feed off of anyone or anything that may be genuine and heartfelt, as your video was, and these video vultures flock to, and land upon people just to tear them down. It is a very sick part of human nature, but when the vultures are feeling insecure and empty, which for them is 24/7, they salivate when they have the chance to try to stomp down another humans feelings simply because they are so full of self hatred and slamming the feelings of others somehow gives them enjoyment. While it is sad that some people actually enjoy being cruel towards another persons honest outpourings, it is even more sad that the vultures are terrified to look inward. At heart the vultures are cowards in the truest definition of the word. You dearheart, are a brave and honest artist. I love your videos. They always give me succor and after watching one of your videos I myself feel a bit braver too. Although this comment seemingly has absolutely nothing to do with your art videos, it actually seems to me to be at the core of your artist heart: Honest and Heartfelt!! Bold, Brave, and Beautiful! Please keep up your lovely work. I always look to see what you have been doing. With Respect, S.D. Daly P.S. I found the above mentioned video and copied and pasted my verbose comments in the hopefully, correct location!!

Ideas: 1. Go to the museum. A lot of great ideas can be "borrowed" from the masters. 2. Take an art class. On line or in person. I am currenly going through Suzi Dennis' on line class called It's OK to Play. That's it, that's all I have. Glad you "checked in".

Dear Aaron hi! Your teeth look awesome! Regarding your mojo I can't say much as I'm not a great artist myself, but maybe the lot of changes happening to your life or maybe your thoughts about them, keep you overwhelmed and don't let you express yourself through your art. Or maybe you just need a break to relax, or do something different. Have you tried writing your thoughts? This might help you find your mojo. Many greetings from Greece!

Sigh. I was dry for almost six months once. Instead of freaking out and staring at what was not happening, I cleaned up my studio. I reduced way, way down. Sorted paper, separated brads, tested all my pens, all that fun stuff. When it started coming back I went super SIMPLE. Water color journal, pencil, eraser, watercolor set, 2 brushes, and a Micron pen.Trust me I'm no expert but I had fun trying to do B movie monsters -- Sharktapus is my favorite one. Being dry is about refueling. Working in my studio nearly everyday and begin patient worked for me.

Hey Aaron! There is no magic recipe to come back up from a long period of mojofunkdontwanttodoanything phase. I've been through it a few times but never for this long. Actually I just posted a video on that a few days ago about my way of dealing with it. And the big lesson I get from that is that you need to be kind to yourself. And maybe you need(ed) that long period of non-creativity to eventually get back into the swing of things...? I hope that makes sense. Great teeth!

There is no magic recipe to get the mojo flowing freely again. However, when mine was stalled, I lucked out cause Donna Downey and Dina Wakley were both coming to town to give classes. I also had my friends Gisele (aka Gigi) and CeeCee to motivate me and get those juices flowing again. Take the time you need, take a class if you can, try something completely different creatively. But first and foremost, don't stress about it. Mojo is a strange creature that cannot be forced. You will get yours back, you have so much talent that your mojo will reappear. Enjoy the time away from the craft room to do things with the family. Make memories that you can translate into art if you feel like it. Oh yeah and SMILE - great set of pearly whites you got there young man.

Aaron, I am sure your mojo will return to you at some day in time. Maybe it will be in the form of a new hobby or passion. Life is ever evolving, choose to embrace it. Go with the wind, and find your happiness for yourself, in whatever format it is. If you do in the future return to art, this fan will be here to enjoy it. Thank you for sharing your creativity over the past few years; to me you are a true inspiration! Best Wishes to you!!!

Are you a part of any art collaboration groups? Creative Arts Collaboration on Facebook puts out a hashtag once a month and everyone creates a video based on the chosen theme. Since you don't have school projects and homework, maybe being part of a group will get you back in the swing of things? I'm also part of a smaller group and we just did a video hop! It was put together by Shannon Green and it's meant to help smaller channels (like mine!) get some exposure and also helps the larger channels with view time. Maybe being a mentor and helping other artists will help you get your mojo back! Anyway, you've definitely been missed, but I totally understand needing to take time to give your creative brain a break! Congrats on those pearly whites, too!

Hi Aarron, I so feel your relief of getting those braces off. I went thru that a few years ago.. and getting them off was wonderful. Your teeth look fantastic!! Concerning your art hiatus,,, you need to do what is right for you. Don't push it.. I know you are getting a lot of advice in the comments. I only want to say,, do what is in your heart and do it for you. You are a very talented gentleman and time will tell you what you need or not need to do. One Idea I have if you want to do some type of creativity,, how about a planner for yourself,, your job,, your family. That may help the spark. (((hugs)) you and your beautiful family. I will be here when you are ready to start arting again!! I do miss your videos and miss your humor!! Chat soon my friend!!

I haven't gone through and read the rest of the comments but I know a transition can cause a funk or block creatively. I remember when I graduated from college myself, it was so free feeling not having to push to do school work that was due, among other things that your mind decided to celebrate. Take time off and enjoy not being under extreme pressure. Yes I miss your vlogs, and art videos, but I also 1000% understand where your coming from.

Back again. Moyo sometimes need a brake. Take your time. Just sit back and relax, do something mindless in a mindfull manner without expecting anything. I like my coloringbook or zentangling for that. And, organizing, just going through your things and clean them, declutter etc. helps my moyo too.

I have missed your art AND your commentary. When we have tight schedules, amazing we put ourselves in high gear, super efficiency, etc. Change in that precipitates change in other areas, sometimes ennui (love that word unless I am experiencing it), sometimes a lack of direction etc. As other parts of your life are bubbling, enjoy and put away any thoughts of creativity and/or schedules and/or obligations. Avoid considering that you must produce. Just be. We'll wait and we'll hope that your muse will again make itself known. Thumbs up for this vlog. Have you considered just doing vlogs for a while?

Yep...losing the MOJO sucks. Maybe clean and reorganize your craft room. You'll discover stuff you forgot about and that might get you excited to use it. Also, take a craft/art class. There are alot online but if you can take it in person the instructors enthusiasm will help. This always makes me excited to explore what I just learned. Teeth look great. :)

First: I'll be here whenever you come back! No worries about that, and second: I have totally been there! I run hot and cold with my muse, thus my ID "thismuseofmine" (insert annoyed emoticon here) there are times when I think- for heavens sake why are you not creating, and then there are times when I think I want to create so badly but too much life crap is in the way, and then of course I have the time and the erge, but I can not materialize anything to save my life. I have adopted the saying " creating without obligation" there is no one out there who is paying me to produce any said creative projects, and so there has to be no pressure to have to do anything. I have ideals, but when I put to much stock in what others may or may not think about how and how often I share, I find I actually am able to be more free and intuitive in my art. I feel jealous of all these fellow artists that are involved in all these different groups producing mass quantities of journal pages and projects for this thing and that, but that is not me...I am a very slow creator, and I do a lot of thinking breaks throughout my creating process, which is very boring to watch. I don't enjoy creating projects whether it be a journal page, or any other project without a feeling or a story behind it. If I create a journal page purely based on a prompt, that I have no connection to, then it to me feels empty, or fake. I have to get behind it...there has to be a story or a a part of me in it. When I stop worrying about not sharing enough or not keeping up and stop doing things because everyone else is doing it, I find the joy in my creative process, and I can embrace the emotion in my work. I am known for taking a hiatus from certain parts of my like on a regular basis, and it has never hurt anyone yet! Ps. You have a very lovely smile, and I am so glad you have graduated from both college and braces :) maybe you could do a goodbye journal page, and hide all the negative feelings about that part in your life under all the positive feelings, or a fresh start page about what is to come? When you figure it out, I'll be here to watch - you are extremely talented and I do enjoy watching you create, it is always inspiring to me.

you look god, so that's a good thing! I think that we cant give you your mojo back. you need to find it yourself and that may take some time indeed. mojo is something you don't find, it will find you.and you right why create when you really don't want to create...So...just wait, play a bit with your stuff...crafting stuff I mean..just like you are doing now and you'll find it back or not. maybe art journaling isn't your thing anymore, could that be the case?

I live a few miles from the beach and it seems that is what gravitates me this time of year. I enjoyed watching and getting caught up. You are a hoot. Enjoy life and don't be sorry for NOT being here. Just live! I know how you feel and have a connection to your fan base here , so you feel obligated to keep us in the loop. Honestly though... Do what you want and we will be around when you wish to share. If not...My best wishes are always sent to you and your family, cause that is the important stuff! ~kimmer... a fellow May baby (haha)

I went through a big life change and felt lost without that routine. I floundered for a long time, then found something called Passage Meditation which really helped me shut out all of the negative stuff. I also bought a couple of 21 Secrets courses and found some collage art that really interested me and woke me up creatively. I don't know how often you were doing videos and Facebook, etc., but I have noticed that a lot of people seem to think that living is all about running 24/7...when they have a space in there, they don't know what to do, it feels like something is missing that needs to be fixed right away. A change in routine, big life changes like you have gone through, take time to recover from...get your equilibrium back. We impose upon ourselves all of this pressure and self-imposed worry. Relax, enjoy yourself and your family, give yourself a break. Since you are creative you will find that outlet again. You don't have to fill that space immediately.

Your teeth look great. Must be a relief to finally get all that uncomfortable metal out. Maybe they took your mojo with it. Perhaps you were receiving a signal through them from the planet Art. Seriously though, I'm with you bro, totally Arted out at the moment. Don't know why either. I go into my art space and get nothing. All I see is clutter. I wonder if that's the problem but also can't motivate myself to do anything about it. I was hoping a break would help it come back. I'm still hoping. I hope you find yours soon Xx

I got in the same funk after 7 graduated college took me two years to get back in to the art. I had to ask my self am I an artist? Do I need to create? Mind you I was also having a hard time trying to find my self. I decided that I would just start with something little and slowly I got back my creativity. I think we some times need that self reflection time to grow and understand what we want in life. I hope that you find your way. .

Aaron, I'm so sorry that you're in a non creative rut. I think that happens to every one some time. for myself, watching other people (such as you!) inspire me. youve said thats not working tho. when I get into my creative space and reorganize, that often jump starts me. right now I'm avoiding my studio because my husband is working on new cabinets for me so everything is chaos. I don't even want to be in there. while I miss your videos, I don't think its a bad thing if you need a break or time to find your rhythm again. maybe...stop stressing about it. maybe that's making it worse. idk...just throwing that out there. and yes, your teeth look fantastic. lol. its awesome getting braces off. good luck...we'll be here when you come back. 😄

Hi Aaron, You Look Marvelous with your Braces off, But then you always was a Cutie...LOL..Pressure took your MOJO,You stopped creating for yourself, when you felt you had to put out Videos to please the masses. that demand just drained any creativity you had left. Many Creative people are loners in that the keep to themselves and just let their creative soul take over. they take their time, no pressure, No rushing to make Videos. I think Your Videos was your way to communicate your life, School, Family, Art was the reason you could justify doing the Videos, You could socialize without leaving home, just talk have fun & do some Art Play. ( Which was wonderful for us, But Not You...) When Collage was over, so much change in your life to deal with, when you came Home from a New Job Position , Kiddo you was Drained...I Mean you was sucked dry !!! You are a Talented & Fun Young Man, with a Beautiful Wife and a Son who is growing up way too fast...they all do. Grab a Paper, and write down what Art means to you, did it give you Joy, does it make you excited to see Brushes,Paints Blank Canvas,??? What gives you the most Pleasure Right now ? It took me 17 years to want to Create again, When I Lost my Youngest Son, My Joy ( MOJO ) went with him. Sure I did Crafts with my Grand-Daughters, I took up Photography, which led to Digital Art but soon All the commitments & Pressure to preform like a trained seal zapped that desire out of me ( people do that to creative Souls ). I do Mixed Media now, but I do it for me & to share and show others that Art can help Heal the soul & give you Joy...And when I feel Pressure, to get a Video up, or start creating for others & Not myself...I Pull away. KZitem Can suck your Creative Soul right out of you if you let it...Yes I'm Old 64 and I got my degree from University of Hard Knocks, I've seen & done more things then most, but I am telling you Sweet Aaron Life is too short, don't miss the truly important things in your Life, it is what it is ...( MoJo comes in the simplest of inspirations...don't look for it, it will come to you...if it doesn't lead you to Art it will lead you to another passion, be open, Smile enjoy Life,Laugh & Love...Just be you, for you are Loved by many because of your personality, your Art doesn't define who you are...You can only do that. Hey but what does a Nana know...LOL Love You Kiddo with or with out your Art...XOXOXOXO

Did you find that when you were in school, you had so much to do that it motivated you to get a lot done? That is what I have found in the past. When I have way too much to do, I get it done. Once that pressure has released, it's hard to be motivated. I find that when I'm in a slump, and that happens often, I just go in my room and do something for a few minutes. Put some paint on a page and then walk away. The next time I feel compelled, I go and add a bit more. Slowly, I get back in the groove. Good luck, we have all been there.

How about trying a smaller scale piece such as tags or ATCs just to get you back in the flow. Or make pages without sharing them online, in case you're blocked by making "good" art for your fans. There's also an idea I've read in several creativity books about motivation, which states that you don't wait to feel motivated before creating. You show up, do something and the motivation follows. But you have to take action first , motivated, unmotivated or whatever darn mood you find yourself in :) Hope this helps. Love ya. P xx

We all need a break from time to time, I'm sorry to hear you've been in a funk... Just be gentle with yourself....When the time is right, you'll create again... Sometimes, taking a break is all you need to do... You'll be inspired again whenever, and that's ok. I do miss your videos though. So thank you for this one. Right now, I'm sort of having the opposite problem, I'm overwhelmed with inspiration... So much so... That I end up not doing much of anything... I know that doesn't seem to make sense... But it's hard to explain. Anyway... Just do as you've been doing... Take a break....indefinitely...because if you force yourself to create something, you won't enjoy it, and you risk ruining the whole art thing for yourself. And one day, you'll see, hear, dream, or think something that'll spark inspiration.... It could be a long time... Just remember that it's ok. Yay! I'm glad you don't have braces anymore.
