Canadian highlander has it right: point the problem cards the rest are zeros and you get some amount of points each game

There are a few conflicting arguments happening here about how gameplay is not going to be affected that much, but then also that these cards are ubiquitous and seen everywhere and necessitated the bans. I think that the mariginal gains we get from potential play patterns do not outweigh the fallout we see from the losses to players who actually enjoy that playstyle and the vendors who these types of cards are their livelihood giving a place for the players to engage in this game. This is why I am not a fan of the bans of these cards. I do not feel any improvement to gameplay outweighs the community division, and increasing fallout this decision has caused.

I've been watching for a while (if not the literal beginning, close to it). I had to turn off last week's episode because of how ranty and hyperbolic it got. I was worried this one would be the same, but it was much better, and I appreciate a much more level-headed response. :)

Hypothetically, if mana crypt was printed into oblivion in every commander product for several years, price got sub five dollars, would it be alright like Sol ring?

I almost feel like mana crypt has the format defying identity of the CEDH community as sol ring does for the casual side. So by the sol ring logic, I feel like mana crypt was the most out of left field ban of the four. Jeweled lotus could have been banned as signpost philosophy like previous bannings followed to signal that fast mana shouldn't necessarily be encouraged, without outright stating that the type of playstyle doesn't belong in and still probably accomplishing their goal.

Commander banned list is stupid. Let people figure it out on their own
