Alright, I have a confession to make. As a hardcore Pixies fan, I've kept this bottled up for years, and I think it's time I finally let it out. I didn't like the original version of "Where is My Mind". It always felt like it was written specifically to be radio-friendly, and while Doolittle wasn't as hardcore as Come on Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa (and wasn't even remotely close to their early live recordings), I just don't think it's representative of their overall style in the early days. This version completely changed my mind. It sounds more like something Frank Black would make than something he actually made. I think you've somehow managed to defy the laws of physics.

Just had an out of body experience listening to this about 30 seconds in I started thinking "wouldn't it be cool if I learned to play this on the bass." About another 10 seconds go by. Then it hit me what I actually I *do* know how to play this on the bass. And I had one right in front of already plugged in. I grabbed it and turned it on in time to play along to the second half of the song which was a lot of fun :)

Accurate. Excellent use of original tracks plus a few new sounds (e.g., close-mic acoustic guitar.) I clicked on the thumbnail because I wanted to see if anyone wrote in the comments something trivial: I've LONG thought that Black Francis' vocal in the song "Trompe le Monde" was perfect shoegaze material; his "WHY DO CUPIDS AND ANGELS CONTINUALLY" delivery reminds me of Ride. "Where Is My Mind" is a different animal, however.
