I grew up hearing, believing all of this yet found myself in a situation which I never even dreamt in my nightmares. The turmoil seems like punishment or test I don't know. But there's nothing else left but to believe in higher power coz ain't no way a soul can get through this life without relying on god. People leave, fear engulfed you and I swear assisted death should be accepted everywhere in the world. There's nothing glorious in constant suffering. Specially with mental health. The wisdom in Islam and other religions aren't pondered properly other than who should wear what or how many times you should pray. The role of God is bigger than petty rules.

it's interesting that the "shaking" in this verse is a very well known physical phenomenon, and is one of the primary ways our body is able to come out of high sympathetic arousal. therapies like somatic experiencing have the aim of getting clients to come out of emotional shutdown by slowly feeling into their sensations. this shaking behaviour has been observed with animals in the wild, after "playing dead" to survive an encounter. It is this feeling of being dead but alive that is stuck with so many of us because we, as humans, are conditioned to ignore our bodies and its needs. we distract ourselves from experiencing difficult sensations and thus prevent ourselves from completing the natural survival response which has been stuck inside most of us for years. if i'm not mistaken, islam is not the only tradition/religion that speaks of this "shaking". in this same light, verses like "those who contain their anger" can take on new meanings. Dr. Peter Levines "in an unspoken voice" talks about trauma therapy and uses strikingly similar terms to those in that verse of the quran, specifically "containment of rage" (not restriction or repression). "containment" refers more to the notion of building up a space within us in which we can hold that anger with our safe awareness and attention, instead of compulsively acting it out or repressing it deep within us. this way the anger is able to take its natural course and transform into a more valuable role in our inner system (see Internal Family Systems therapy).

These small videos are extremely powerful and so much better than long videos you made ages ago where comedy was involved, way you quoted the Quran on issues concerning help, depression and how to overcome is so relatable and much needed to hear. I love this version of you much more than before. You’ve changed for the better. I’m sure all your critiques from the past will agree.

@LukeMyth

Maybe it’s not your spirit or style to be too militaristic but it is in the Quran to train in the martial arts and self-defence plus if we are patriotic then we are to value the land we live on which is alll a masjid??? With international conflict threatening our security that’s not only Muslim countries et cetera but also ummahs security in Europe and in America and across the world , also, so some insightful words may go down well. in the bookstores I think art of war commentaries go down quite well and a Muslim one would be a valid addition I think. If you were going to start, I’d suggest the idea of taqwa ( waqqiyah / wqy (?) ie in part of the term’s connotation to guard and protect human life as precious and inherently valuable ?) being at the basis of Islamic ethics. And truth ( eg if it’s true a is better than b, eg healthy hsn life better than disease etc, then acting on truth is sadaqa and makes one siddiq is that right??? ) in its core being a aspect of piety. It may give us all that moral boost and public image we deserve. Plus a leadership role that is needed!

I've come to the conclusion that God and religion in general is more of deistic rather than theistic, I believe it's a combination of both but heavily leaning against deism meaning God is an absentee landlord most of the time, he interferes seldom but majority of the time he does nothing and leaves it to its own faith and to us. And watching how Muslims are dealing with the Palestine conflict I kind of don't wanna be a Muslim anymore, but maybe just a monotheist with no affiliation to any religion, I find Muslims embarrassing with their interpretations, I'm nothing but disappointed in my own religion.
@Khan_Maan_Sadozai..
5 ай бұрын
How can you say that dear that God doesn't interfere most of the times? What is happening if by the his will. What is happening in palestine doesn't bother god because he clearly said in chapter 110 that real victory is when you'll see people entering your religion in abundance. He never said that you'll have a peaceful life. God's opinion is proved by quran only. He mentioned all the beauties of world for disbelievers and told momineen to have patience, thankfulness, will experience opression, He encouraged momineen with description of jannah...what muslims in other countries are doing are against religion since Allah commanded in surah nisa verse 75 to fight for those men women and children who are opressed. God creates a situation, our actions are free will we're granted.
