Adding saturated fat to a diet will raise daily insulin release, but not in proportion to the calories, so replacing half your carbs with fat will lower insulin exposure, but only by about 20-30%. Muscles will load on FFAs if you eat a higher fat diet, and more insulin will be required to manage x grams of glucose. It used to be believed that low carb diets just reduce the pancreatic response to glucose, but replacing carbs with fat has been shown in insulin clamps to raise the insulin required per gram of carbs. So for example, you might secrete 100 units of insulin a day to manage 300 grams of carbs, but if you replace 150 grams of carbs with fat calories, you still need 80 units (more per carb gram). Also, CRITICAL. If you have a food sensitivity, like wheat, corn starch, milk protein, legumes, certain nuts, they will provoke a cortisol spike which will require more insulin per carb gram. Again studies with type 1 diabetics have shown that high gluten wheat (a common sensitivity provoking food) requires 150-200% as much insulin to manage as the same number of grams of carbs from potatoes or rice even though the potatoes and rice raise glucose faster. The gut irritants and "allergens" in wheat trigger cortisol, adrenaline and glucagon release even without added carbs, and the body has to release insulin to counteract the stress hormones. In fact, high cortisol in general is a major driver of insulin release, and foods vary significantly in their effects on cortisol with alcohol and fructose being bad, as well as high purine foods, often milk, and often wheat and corn starch and seed oils.

Regarding insulin , not all alcohols are the same. Alcohol itself is a carb, but the drinks do not all spike blood glucose the same and it should not be generalised. The medical profession is still all over the place on this topic. It is NOT that simple and each individual needs to understand how they react regarding blood glucose. Measure your reactions with a glucose meter. You will learn something.

When consuming red meat, do your best to get grass finished which means the animal eats grass it’s entire life… Grass fed only means that the animal ate grass, but could have eaten green, which is 90% of the time GMO… When you consume GMO it modifies you! Eating seafood is healthier although it will have mercury in it which is a heavy metal and leads to memory, concentration, problems, and eventually dementia. However, eating cilantro every day will remove heavy metals from your body. Be aware, the best cookware for your health is cast iron, which provides a slight amount of iron that is healthy for you. Stainless steel is great, but unless you get it hot enough to make “water dance on it“ the food sticks to it and makes for heavy cleaning efforts. Ceramic is excellent, but you do not want to purchase cookware made from aluminum as it will leach into your food and into your body if the surface is scratched or worn down.

“Corn fed beef, pork, fish.” The majority of carnivores eat it. Fatty red meat from ruminate animals, I heard one of the carnivore doctors say the multi chambered stomach processes and filters out the things that would be not as optimal. The lean protein low carbohydrate approach is not good. Fatty red meat mutes insulin levels.

@@tonymai1844😘ONLY Wild caught fish is truly healthy. Farmed fish are treated with antibiotics because they are kept in crowded conditions and they are eating waste products from each other along with their food being minimum quality to save money. Gras-fed is lovely, but it is second-best to grass-finished. The difference being that Grass-fed means the animal was feeding on grass, but could have been fed GMO grains leading up to its slaughter ~ that means you consumed a meat product with GMO in it which affects your genetics negatively. Grass-finished means from beginning of life until the animal is slaughtered it only ate grass and other natural plants.
