Great video! Just traded in our 2017 F-250 King Ranch for a 2024 Chevrolet 2500 LTZ a couple of weeks ago here in Houston. The quality of our Ford was terrible. We had multiple problems with it. Major problems! For us, Ford’s quality issues on a $90k truck kept us from buying another one. The new interiors on Chevys are vastly improved from when we bought the 2017 Ford. This year Chevy is competitive. We tow a 10k pound trailer and I can’t wait to see how this truck performs. We definitely noticed the significant price difference on MSRP but we also received a $4,000 cash back from Chevy on the new truck whereas Ford was charging a mark up on the new Super Duty. The choice was very clear for us. A comparable Chevy was at least $13k less than the Ford and the Ford quality issues sealed the deal.

@@21divel No actually, depending on the rear axle ratio, both tow a 10k trailer to 60 in 16.3 seconds give or take .2 seconds, SO 6.7 vs 6.6 Duramax. Comparing the highest possible trim in a FORD to a Chevy is not an equal comparison. The way the Ford was optioned also bumps Tow capacity specs. He made mention of that. Standard bed with that configuration boosts the specs as well.

Bought the F350 Tremor with a gas - no comparison engine wise between the Ford gas and the GM or Ram, also no comparison since neither Ram or GM offer an equivalent off-road package in the 3500, only in their 2500s. Still tows a ton with decent torque and way cheaper on gas than diesel, even with the difference in mpg.

F-250 Tremor and F-350 Tremor are I believe the same identical trucks, with the exception of the fender badging and payload stickers (I know the 4th Gen Super Duty is, maybe they changed something on the 5th Gen SD but I don't think so).

Well, you know….. a few months ago I bought a 10th Gen 2000 F150 4x4 7700 with a gas 5.4l V8 and 4 speed/overdrive transmission. It’s a 3/4 ton with a 1/2 ton badge. I can’t get it 0-100 in 14 seconds, but I will get there. The truck with matching canopy in perfect working condition cost me $2500 Canadian. So.. my truck is 20 years old, running without issues. When your warranty runs out, and a taillight assembly has to be replaced at twice the cost of my used truck, you might rethink your purchases…… how often are you towing 10,000 pounds?

First things first, I hope you didn't scratch or dent the tailgate on the Chevy. B&W makes a hitch now exclusively for the GM Multi Pro Tailgate. Your not really comparing apples to apples. That F250 is a long wheel base, I'm very surprised the payload capacity wasn't higher with the 8ft bed on the Ford. Personally a F250 LWB is very oddball. Your mostly likely going to get a F350 LWB long before you get a F250 LWB. Just my honest opinion but a F250 LWB is very rare here in Texas. Also, if the Ford was a SWB the fuel capacity would be the same. I'm a Ford guy driving a GMC because I don't know why. Love your guys videos and hope you keep them coming. Cheers!

One of the things I'm come to recently think about is power. Every generation each brand is more hp and torque. In theory I think the Chevy sits right at the sweet spot for power. However efficiency would be the best thing to work on for all brands. If you had to tow from Texas to Florida a 40ft travel trailer you're gonna be pulling at 5-6 maybe 7-8 mpg. If they could increase that to 10-12 that would be such an amazing improvement. Most trucks nowadays don't need any more power we need efficiency. If I could have 1 less fill-up on my drive that would be great.
