Did you know that if you took fine sandpaper and removed the black paint, you will see the wood beneath. The black is actually painted on and isn’t a black layer of fiberglass

It uses clear fiberglass. You can see it on the siyah itself.

Thank you for this review. I’m actually looking at this bow on Amazon and the description says it’s bearpaw fiberglass? So you don’t believe it’s bearpaw?

As far as I'm aware, all evidence suggest both are China fiberglass, not bearpaw

@@bambooarchery Thanks. I figured. That plus the fact that the arrow pass is synthetic as you mentioned, made me decide not to buy it

@@TheBackyardJedi-nv5ib there's now normal queyue with bearpaw glass and bone inlay arrowpass. If interested, you can contact me for preorder. For the new version, there's 2 things to watch out for. First is the max drawlength at 30", and second is the grip being huge. It is created from using the Sultan mould.

My bow broke (splintered and delaminated) in less than 3 months of moderate use 😢. AF does not even reply 😡

The warranty policy is that you claim from the seller. So if you bought direct from AF, then AF will warranty directly. AF usually respond fairly quick, please make sure to contact through the correct channel you had ordered from.

I saw an older video of yours....about the Jackal scammers... I was wondering , if all bows coming out from that country are faulty, due to weather conditions and materials used in their construction. I'm in Northern Canada...and we have extreme weather conditions .. will this affect the asiatic bow performance? can these Asiatic bows break early ? thank u for all your informative and entertaining videos.. Would love to see more Bow Shooting and speed tests in future videos. cheers, from N.Canada.

I do not think the weather in northern Canada would be of any issue. Usually heat is the worst enemy and that's not a concern in Canada. Bows that I sold to the USA, Canada, UK, and Europe never had any issue thus far. Only hot countries near the equator are more likely to be affected, and even so, it depends on case-by-case basis. Jackal's issue had more to do with the Bowyer's poor attitude, stubborn, failure to accept opinion/feedback, and thinks the world revolve around him. So his bow design and craftmanship is poor, and you can see the imbalance between left and right side of the bow, which causes the bow to lean and twist. However, the Bowyer is just too cocky and blames customer instead of acknowledging his poor work.

I am considering a second, lighter queyue, but AF offers a new carbon addition for a fee. What are your thoughts on adding carbon to the queyue? Does it dramatically improve anything? What effect might it have on khatra?
@bambooarchery
Жыл бұрын
The carbon core (putting in the middle of a bow) is only to improve twist resistance, which it does a really bad job at that. It will feel like it made almost no difference, so I don't recommend that option. In fact, Mariner used to have this option as well, and I stopped recommending it because I realized it is completely useless. Instead I introduced carbon backing which actually has a noticeable difference for the money that customers are paying

I have a carbon core in my queyue. I like it. It looks good, feels good, and torsional stiffness feels very solid to me. It was only $40 more if I remember, so to me, definitely worth it. These type of things are more personal preference through personal experience, as you will get a million different opinions from a million different people. I don’t sell or promote any bows, but I have been an archer and bow hunter for 30 + years.

Nice comparison, but I would suggest you share less personal opinions and stick to facts. You say several times that the painting seems cheap to you but that’s very subjective and it makes the video more opinionated rather than informational. Many people, including myself, love the paint because the colors and patterns on the sultan bow are historically accurate and something that the ottomans were known for. Even until today, the Turkish people still make bows with these colors and patterns. My Sultan bow seems very high quality to me. I own both of these bows and the Orange and black Sultan definitely looks and feels high quality, compared to my Queyue, and my queyue even has a carbon core. The Sultan bow even seems high quality when comparing to my Daylite Majesty and Daylite Monarq bows. You should just share objective details and specs about the bows instead of so much opinion. For example, talking about the less durable arrow pass was a good idea so users know they might need to replace/improve the arrow pass material.

Facts: 1) Sultan is not high quality, many reported bow failure, and I know the root cause, I just didn't discuss about it openly. 2) No historical Turkish bow look like the Sultan. Mostly feature intricate and finely detailed hand painting, not a simple 1-minute spray paintjob. 3) Tests has shown that carbon core does not increase arrow speed at all, and barely add any twist resistance. The "benefits" seems to be purely marketing. 4) Daylite isn't a brand to be trusted because they advertise their AF-rebranded Turkish and Tatar as "carbon" but they are actually black fiberglass.

@@SunnahSurvivalPMC I can make much more profit selling the Sultan than the Queyue. But I'll also have to warranty more on the Sultan than the Queyue. I can't take anyone seriously when they say their own personal opinion represent "many other people"; calling a poor quality as high quality; couldn't distinguish art from cheap paint; never had to deal with warranty headache; and calling real facts as opinion whenever it upsets you, facts are never sweet. As a seller, we talk to many customers and we know the majority agree that the paintjob looks cheap as hell. The only reason buyers originally went for it was purely due to a huge discount. But when the discount ended, nobody wants it. So AF decided to offer it at a discount again. So next time, if you don't know, don't act like you know.

@@bambooarchery I wasn’t even slightly upset with your subjective opinions. It sounds like you are the one who is upset because you can’t handle someone disagreeing with you. Everyone can read and see you are so emotional over the fact that I disagreed with your opinionated review with very little objective information. There are other well known archery KZitemrs that also disagree with you, for example Armin Hirmer, his review is a thousand times more objective than yours. Don’t be upset just because there is more than one opinion other than yours and that I don’t worship your opinion as many of the younger gullible subscribers do.

@@SunnahSurvivalPMC lol, I'll leave these reply here so that people can learn more. If anything, viewers can see that I'm being even more objective and factual. Your opinion on me do not matter. Viewers know if they are buying from AF directly, I make absolutely nothing anyway, so it doesn't matter to me. If they decided to buy from me, I can make more profit promoting the Sultan than the Queyue (any other dealers can easily check the catalog and verify what I said is true). I think I also mentioned about the Korean glass in the video (I didn't rewatch it), but this again verified my suspicion is correct and accurate, literally written clearly in their catalog. AF literally lied to customer and dealers about using Korean glass to make it sound like it's a higher quality, but I've inspected the glass and I know their materials better than their salesperson. So I know their marketing claim is just impossible and now their updated catalog clearly says China-made fiberglass. Carbon core, also I can make extra profit promoting it, but I usually don't because it's already been proven by several people that it does almost nothing, just a waste of money. In Malaysia and Indonesia, many fiberglass bow are just painted on to save cost, and also to allow the bowyer to use lower quality and cheaper material, since it's hidden under the paint and customers can't see them anyway. But with time quality issue will show through, and the paint also deteriorates, often unsightly. Lastly, Daylight Turkish and Tatar are just rebranded bows, but the problem I have with them is the inaccurate/misleading advertising. They are just black fiberglass (not carbon) with bamboo core (not hard maple); no UD carbon, but has carbon core instead, not the same thing.
