Love the supra content, its my next dream car. I don't think there's any car that compares for performance, price, interior quality and uniqueness. Can I ask how much you think a single person should look to make anually to comfortably afford one? And when you think the price might not be as inflated? Maybe after the Z drops?
@VinceChristmastree
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks iBeZeY! Bros FOURR Speed did a great video comparing both the MK5 Supra and new Z so I definitely recommend watching that when you get a chance. He did mention that you do get the premium quality with the Supra over the Z and of course the price reflects that. I'm not a finance guru, but personal finance experts typically allocate 20% of your NET monthly income towards your car payment, insurance, gas, etc. All those costs are combined, not just the monthly payment of your car so you're not cutting it close every month. The price of the car is still inflated and though cars are finally coming down in price, it might take a little bit until they are where they should be. A good indicator of when that will be is when new cars finally start populating dealerships instead of them hoarding a bunch of used cars and marking them up due to demand. I would guess the Z will 99% of the time sell for above MSRP since some people are already reporting their local Nissan dealership is adding markups to units that have not been delivered yet. Hope this helps!

I have a 2022 with a JB4 custom map, AA DP, and intake on 91. Seriously though, it's already so much power so I can't imagine what it's like to really go big power with corn. Just seeing the way he talks down to people on the forums for years really rubs people the wrong way.

@@VinceChristmastree For sure man. I think maybe in general the employees and other guys are ok, but if you delve deeper to see the owner himself justify his reasoning on charging $2500+ to unlock the ECU, you'll see that it boils down to "Because I can, screw you all if you don't want to pay." Anyway damn didn't mean to be a Debby downer. Keep up the great content and I like seeing you include other owners in the mix. Oh for sure. I did see that thread on one of the Facebook groups too and I am just glad I have a 2020. Really hope that there are more players that offer the service to drive the price down because $2.5k to unlock an ECU is honestly insane. I get it that you have to pay-to-play, but damn lol No worries! Glad that you were frank with me and I appreciate you taking the time to comment! The community is amazing and such a breath of fresh air since the Subaru groups I'm used to tend to get toxic. Every car group can get that way, but 95% of the owners I meet have been cool! Thanks Andres! I bought mine second hand during COVID so they won't be a good representation of the market currently. I think if you're going to buy used, if you can get it below the MSRP, then that is a good deal. If you're going new, then do your best to not pay over sticker. It all depends on your location, credit history, salary, who you're financing with. There's a lot of variables involved. As for the differences, I don't think there are any major changes between the 2022 and 2023 model years so just find the best deal you can!
