Great video! This game is so fun, and you can literally play just about any leader and compete. You really have to put the reps in with the non-meta leaders as they require a bit more skill to pilot though.

Awesome video. I just started playing and only own the cards in this deck thats been thrown together (yellow/purple Crocodile) , is there any websites/forums where i can get feedback on my deck? Edit: my primary competition only uses the Yamato starter deck so far. If anyone has advice on dealing with that its appreciated
@MonkeyFightTCG
11 ай бұрын
Yamato is an interesting one to play against. Typically you'll want to get them to one or two life and then set up for a burst turn where you kill them before they can fully abuse value. 9 drop Yamato is very powerful so you'll want to keep track of the total number of life so you can play around it's removal. Also for any effect where you have to either take a damage or heal your opponent; always take the damage. it's a plus 2-3 for the opponent if they heal. For places for deck feedback, you can try a Reddit or a Facebook group. But each of those will come with their own biases. I recommend using a site like: onepiecetopdecks.com/ as a source to compare your list to. these are all topping lists in some shape or form. Hope this helps!

I would add Ace in overhall since he can easily beat all those decks and play very well with the vast majority of two-colorers. A very underrated leader but which has an effect that allows good management of damage and what to destroy on the field to achieve definitive damage with leaders. Getting cards online trough cardmarket should easily solve the first problem (not just for Germany, but Europe in general) and for the second one...sadly I don't have any good idea. If you don't live in or near a big city it's rare to find lgs, although there are weirdly some small ones in the middle of nowhere. If there is such a lgs that just doesn't do one piece events, maybe you could see if there is enough interest to convince the store owner. Otherwise it's just unfortunate and only leaves one with hopefully finding players in your area for unofficial games. Had that problem where I went to university and the only events we deemed worthy of the time to drive there, were some prereleases and tournaments.

I’ve wanted to play OP for about a year, and finally talked my partner into us learning to play a couple of weeks ago. I built Zoro, and picked it up very quickly. To any new players I highly recommend Zoro for learning the little nuances after the basics. After some fumbling and changes to the meta list to better suit my play style, I took 4th in my first tournament yesterday and that’s without the Gordon’s. My partner didn’t care for Katakuri, and built Rebecca which works for him after playing MTG blue/black control for 17 years. And now I win 1 out 4 games against him 🥲 but I still really enjoy Zoro, plus I have many of the cards for a Whitebeard deck now. We’re trying to build all meta decks to learn even more about gameplays and card synergies. I love it compared to other TCGS. I’ve played MTG, Pokémon, even Lorcana- but OP is the most fun and affordable. Finding products at your local shops is the ONLY downside. But damn you will not be disappointed.

Good starting video for new players. I would suggest to try the decks in the online simulator, before buying them. For people considering the Zoro deck: the card "Cross Fire" should be a mistake that slipped in, it doesn't work in the deck and should be "Whitebeard Pirates" or maybe "Gum-Gum Fire-Fist Pistol Red Hawk". Also for the blue Crocodile deck I would swap two 7 cost cards for 5 cost ones: either "Zeff" or 5cost vanilla cards(they have no effect, but +1000 counter and higher stats). In this case there is a vanilla "Crocodile" card or another one called "Rokki" with 7000 power. That said I prefer the animal kingdom cards package over Sentomaru and Pacifistas.

Yellow Yamato is honestly a very solid deck, it just gets overshadowed by other yellow options. Kin'emon, which isn't a Yamato deck but does run 8 Yamato cards, is solid as well. It's gone up in price since this video but i'd still recommend it. In set 6 there's a green yellow yamato leader, once that releases it'll likely be the best deck in the game.
