Felt lucky today I was the first person to watch your video. I don't know much about snares and had no idea there were so many locks. Thank you for broadening my knowledge. And thanks a bunch for the videos organization. It helps me find and rewatch videos.

No if you would please mention in your snare round up that by putting the loop in a double furrow you cut down on Fur damage because the inline furrow lee's wire stick out and a Dick's in it sometimes cuts in the animals like fox I hope you pass that on

Yes Christopher that's somewhat true. A lot has to do with the style of lock you use plus how much tag end of cable you leave sticking out of the single ferrules too

Very interesting Dale! I plan to take a course to get a cable restraint license here in Pa. I'm pretty sure we can use non-relaxing locks for beaver but on land we have to use relaxing locks. Thank you for sharing this one.

So yea you need to check and see what they classify as a relaxing lock Ron. Because that can make a huge difference in what you're allowed to use. Is it specific locks? Or is it just a 1 piece lock? I appreciate you watching. Thank you

@@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 We have specific locks approved by the Pa. Game Comm. that we can use.

Thanks explaining about the difference in locks . I learn something new. I use 7x7 3/32 for my snares . I have not look into the size you stated. I like the large washer type and cam lock. Looking forward for the next video on the size cable i use .

You'll have less fur damage from the cable by using smaller diameter. Like the 5/64 Paul. 3/32 causes a lot of bruising and hair burn vs the lighter cable. Thank you for watching

@@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 ok then can I still use the same locks on that cable that I use on the 3/32
