The harpejji is a super cool instrument but I think it’ll be a niche thing until you guys decide to put out a budget version. It’s obviously worth what you are charging but at that price only successful professional musicians (a relatively small group) are going to want to shell out that kind of money on something novel. I feel like a stripped down version at somewhere around $1k would blow up and even increase demand for the more expensive flagship versions.

Hand made and high quality, I suppose. Clearly others agree, and I think that a "budget" version at 1-2k would be really successful. I just don't see that happening if they can't first make money off of the more expensive, hand-made versions.

Drop the price to, ohhh I don't know, something remotely affordable and I'll buy one. $3000 for base model is ridiculous, especially when they're not proven to retain their value or function over time. Get smart and collect royalties from someone who can mass produce them (eg squire, fender) on the cheap while you remain the boutique OG dealer. Greedy mfers.

I havent tried this but if you want similar but cant afford it you could prehaps in theory anyway mod a cheap lap steel for a diet small version of this, if you had the skills to add frets to it and lower the action then all you need to do is settle on a tuning that works for you and label out the wholes/flat-sharps

It's basically doing hammer ons with a guitar. As a guitarist, this shit actually looks quite difficult to learn. It's like piano mixed with guitar, which means you have to learn both guitar and piano techniques to play it. Tldr: it takes a lot of practice to play this instrument.
