I had a 2018 Silverado through a Magnus supercharger in it fully tuned. 8 pounds a boost. Almost 400 horsepower to the wheels and 786 foot-pounds of torque. yes, power on demand fun truck to drive. The only problem was having transmission issues even year even after building up with a stronger tour converter and other parts.

Always wondered just how. How do you make an engine with so much power, not speed. Power with such low displacement😂 even without the supercharger like man

You’ll be running out of ways to get power before you ever negatively impact the bottom end.

You WILL crave more power not long after it goes in. I promise you, you'll be thinking of smaller pulleys, bigger exhaust, bigger throttle body, custom intake, fueling upgrades, and then will find out that certain supporting mods should have been done beforehand because it would have been easier and cheaper to do before the blower install. Do some engine work for peace of mind and to push past a stock engine's limitations. You'll be driven nuts worrying about blowing up your engine, throwing a rod, bending pushrods, spinning a bearing, running out of injector, leaking gaskets, etc.. I seriously recommend a piston/connecting rod kit, lifters/pushrods/valve springs and possibly a supporting cam. Fueling upgrades are almost a guarantee requirement if you plan to customize and push the blower, which you will. A solid and inexpensive option are lt4 injectors/lt4 hpfp. You have numerous options for in tank fuel pumps. I'd probably go with an armageddon 465lph. I had a custom made 535lph which was probably overkill and a few hundred more expensive. You definitely have time if you just ordered your whipple kit. Their lead time is like 12 weeks. I remember ordering mine in November (before covid happened) and finally getting it late Feb/early March. No matter what decide you're going to love it. Just watch out for ping and gap your plugs properly. The installation manual has specifics. Something to note: The 2.9L whipple isn't super loud. You'll hear the whine, but it's much louder with an open air intake...and of course spinning the blower faster raises the pitch of the whine.

@@snooka2484 very good and in depth recommendations. I’ve had mine on almost 2 years and I’m already wanting more power. The hope is to do a forged LT4 swap.
