It does. Thanks for making this video. I had taken mine apart last year. Saw how the wire ran all the way up around to the back. I first tried to sneak my screwdriver and socket set between the drum and the top deck but it was a pain. Realized there's a plastic case that holds it in. So I did have to remove the screws on the top of the back. I watched another video for removing the top. Once removed I observed the style of switch. It is a DC switch. It's a smart servo motor. It has contacts to let it know it's all the way in or out. Anyway. I cleaned the contacts. Lightly pressed on them to add more tension. And ultimately cleaned them and the connector. Moisture can effect the connection. Now It's doing it again. I may try your advice so I can use it until the part gets here. It's not very difficult. Thanks again.

My latch broke . What wires would I disconnect to bypass until it is fixed ?

You are looking to Jumper them right to by pass the switch? 40 years of laundry and I never needed a locking door.
