Whisky .com tastes the Jim Beam Devils Cut. The devil's cut is the opposite to the Angel's share. It is the spirit remaining in staves of the casks.
To get the devil's cut out of the cask the JB distillery uses water, that is later used to dilute the whisky down drinking strength. This means that you don't get pure devils cut but devil's cut and normal Jim Beam whiskey.
The nose:
Oakiness, spiciness, cinnamon, a little glue taste.
The taste:
Sharp oak, bitterness, nuts,
The finish:
Long
