Grew these for the first time last year. Love it. I add them whole to my "super chunky garden salsa". Everybody loves them. I'm growing 4 of these plants this year. Trellising is highly recommended. They can go 6+ feet in the Midwest.

cross pollenation will only affect the seeds of the tomato, so if you're saving seeds it will affect the plants grown FROM those SEEDS but it won't affect the fruits in the current year crop

what did you do wrong last year, do you think? are they hard to germinate, needing warm soil like peppers?

Hello, do you think we could graft heirlooms on this plant?

I never had the issue of this variety crossing with other tomatoes and I have been growing it next to my other heirlooms for years. I always pick the first fruits that ripe for seeds and the chance of crossed seeds is very low. I get it maybe with one out of 80 varieties and it's always those which have big flowers, where the stigma is sticking out of stamen. Normal bees don't like tomatoes. Bumblebees sometimes go on tomato flowers, but even those prefer other flowers, so the main pollinator outdoors is wind, at least in Europe. Because of that I just let the flowers get pollinated and then I pick the earliest fruits for seeds. Maybe one variety gets crossed, but that's a risk I'm willing to take, since tomato seeds store for years and I keep notes and pictures of how the plants and leaves look, so if something gets crossed I normally notice it quite early.

many insect pollinate tomato flowers not just bees. here where i live we have thousands of different insects which can cross pollinate

I planted a few Galapagos tomatoes beside my white currant tomatoes and didn't think much about it, I still have seed left over for both so I'm using those again but wondering if I will see any crosses pop up anywhere

I have been so interested din White Queen tomatoes for a while plus in Thailand we can not harvest it since we can't plow the species and let it grow as we want . Now a company from Korea sumsung Pitchlook has their supplemnts " Crystal tomatoes" claimed that can booster skin good health and manufactured as tablets. Now what do you think about Crystal/White Queen tomatoes as tablets extracted and they say 55mg equals to approx 360++ red tomatoes...interesting right ? ... I'm a one of consumers who's now having a concern of buying the tablet product . What's Ur idea Faithfully thanks

well pills can never equal the real thing. the Crystal tomatoes pill is predicated on making your skin whiter. why would you want that?

I live in Oklahoma. We have very hot summers and sometimes almost no springtime. The temperatures can go from cold to hot almost overnight. We often have years when tomatoes produce very little if any fruit. Do you have any information on which tomatoes would be the most tolerant of heat?

@@HeirloomReviews I'm aware that such cherry-type tomatoes are more tolerant. I should have been more specific. Are you aware of any larger slicing type of tomato that is heat tolerant? I found a tomato this year that seemed more tolerant of heat, but it had very tough skin. I did not like it at all. It was very unpleasant to eat.

keep in mind you have a heat index which is a combo of temp an humidity. tomatoes don't just need the right temps but they need the right humidity. your area of the country is different from mine. I'm sure you have a lower humidity then i do. all tomatoes respond the same when it comes to heat index. if you can fix your heat index problem you can grow any tomato! Also elevation plays a big role in how big and productive they will be for you, hope that helps : )
