I measured my draw weight with the 30lbs Flight limbs today and they measured 35lbs at 28,5ish. The limbs are weighted with 25" riser and lark is 19". This is my first bow set up so my comments must be taken with grain of salt, but all I can say I love this riser. The look and feel, everything is perfect!

you are correct about the limbs ,I do not know how he got a 30lb result unless his scales are way out

Forgive my butting in. Is it possible to get longer ILF limbs to make it around 25lbs, say 68"? I've been wanting a traditional ILF bow but the sizings are throwing me off. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@@esnevip A couple of bowyers make extra long limbs, but those will still only get you a 66" bow on a 19" riser. I think White Feather have launched a 21" and a 23" version lately though. If you buy the 23" riser the options for limbs for a 68" bow will be much bigger since you can use regular long limbs.

Is this bow cut past centre so the arrow goes straight through the centre?

Hi there, I have this same setup with 21" riser and limbs making a 66" can't find any recommendation on what the brace height is. Any suggestion ? Many thanks

I shoot the 21“ with a 8,5“ brace, but I prefer a higher brace. Maybe some shoot at 7 3/4“ brace….? Just listen (!) to the bow.

Silver archery - Just wondering what the build quality is like on this Lark, compared to the Stingray. They look really similar. I like the idea of the longer riser and the Lark appears to be a lot cheaper than the Stingray. Is the Stingray much nicer? Also How does the Stingray compare to the Bear Takedown, in regards to build quality?? Cheers Campbell

Same- both bows are built by same manufacturer- break away group from Samick. in our opinion stingray riser- been shorter is better suited fro huntin. in regards to Bear takedown- while built quality on Lark is great, Bear takedown is in completely different league!

@@silverarchery Thanks for your response. I've wanted a bear Takedown for a couple of years now. I also want a bow that is faster and easier to draw than my Martin Hunter. Unfortunately the Bear (whilst having a slightly better build quality and prettier colours) has almost identical performance - same feeling on draw, Bear slightly smoother on release, slightly slower than the Martin. I was thinking of Stingray, with Uukha Saiga 40lb limbs. That would give me a 62" bow, pulling around 44lbs. The Uukha limbs are supposed to be the smoothest and fastest limbs around currently. The Lark appeals because I'm thinking the longer riser will make for a smoother easier to shoot bow (Same Uukha set-up as above, but 64" bow). I do hunt, but I also shoot 3D. I can't see 2" longer than my Martin will suddenly make it difficult to hunt with. Thanks again for your response. How does the poor build quality of the Lark and Stingray present themselves? Do they look like they will break, or delaminate? poor finish? It is really hard to tell looking at photos on line. They do look every bit as well made as The Bear. The Stingray looks like it has better more finished and rounded edges, whilst the lark has harder sharper lines.

I have had the bear take down and the quality was so poor it was returned to bear for a refund .The lark on the other hand was faultless right out of the bag lwent for the samick limbs as they are foam/carbon and made in Korean .Would l buy Bear again ,no.Would l buy the Lark again ,yes

@@robertcrowther6134 WOW - I can agree %100. I ended up buying the Bear Takedown. It broke inside of 9mnths. It delaminated and I could see the sky through the joins. This was in the middle of a competition. A lady I shoot with bought a Bear longbow at the same time I bought mine - hers delaminated within a week. Bear did replace it, but I was less than happy with the replacement (Looked like it had been built by an apprentice on his first day - the brass mounting inserts wound out as well, I pressed it back in, but it had an ugly raised spot from then on.). I then purchased the Lark and some cheap 20lb limbs (I'd just had shoulder surgery) - what a joy to look at and shoot - such a pretty, nice shooting bow. I liked it so much that I bought another one (The longest version of the riser) and a set of the longest Uukha limbs, in 32lbs. Wow, what a weapon. In this configuration, it was faster than my 45lb Bear. So the Lark ended up being half the price - including the Uukha limbs - prettier, faster (7fps with identical arrows), quiet, and cheap... I'd never buy another Bear.

@@robertcrowther6134 I´m just getting into the sport, but started researching about 6 months ago... (I want to make sure I buy once/cry once) and yeah I´ve seen loads of negative comments about the questionable build quality of Bear Takedown.
