They are going to force farmers to bend to the point of breaking to meet emissions standards all while it's business as usual for the airlines and every other industry and those companies will be the ones to receive the recognition from the government for "cutting carbon" all while farmers are the ones doing 95% of the cutting.

From carbon contracts I have heard about, farmers that were already no till/ cover crops were thrown cold water. Payments were not enough for some farmers to even consider. These contracts being offered offended me. Will work at it on my own so far.

There's no political benefit rewarding those who voluntarily "do the right thing" (I'm not judging either way; each farm makes its own decisions) - they need to "add bodies" and "show growth" to achieve political critical mass where this stuff will be enforced at 🔫-point (taxation)👌

NO way should a government be deciding if we drive EV's or not. Let the market decide and let people buy and drive what they want. That said, EV's make great sense for commuters who drive 30-50 miles to work each day. Or for Urban driving.

_Might_ agree if that consumer would otherwise buy a ~$40,000 normal car AND ALSO their primary supply of electricity is not funded by taxpayers (eliminates solar and wind, largely). Otherwise, poor people can't afford them and taxpayers literally pay to fuel them👌

The majority of farm land is not getting converted to Dollar general store or sub division. It's converted into solar fields. A farmer doesn't own all the land needed to make a living. So they rent land. With lower prices and higher land rent due to solar fields offering higher rent and sprinkle in some regulations. You're out of business real quick!!

1 of my neighbors just sign up 20 acres of his ground for solor farm and is getting $800.00 per acre rent per year,it will be interesting to see if his farm taxes go up as that is considered commercial use which is extremely high tax on land.
