We got commissioned to build a small table for a client that would extend the available space on their counter top by holding the toaster oven and Keurig machine. After weighing options, building it from steel tubing seemed to be the best option.
The whole frame was constructed from approximately 50 linear feet of 1"x1" hot rolled mild steel I sourced locally from a steel supplier in Long Island. The table top and shelf were made from a 10 foot piece of white oak that I milled and glued up into panels. The steel was finished with Rustoleum Satin finish oil based enamel. The wood was finished with Minwax Golden Oak stain and three coats of satin polyurethane.
