In her analysis of race and interpersonal violence, Jaelyn Coates identifies the impact of racism on relationships and provides a new framework for creating healthy and affirming relationships across difference.
Jaelyn Coates is a first year graduate student in the Student Affairs in Higher Education program here at Colorado State University. Jaelyn is passionate about access, equity, and opportunity for students of color in higher education, and intends to dive into this work upon completion of her degree. In her free time, Jaelyn enjoys reading Black womanist theory, engaging in various forms of social activism, and throwing up weight at her local Crossfit box!
