@BlueSkooma

@@-Grizzly_ There is literally no difference between colors and how they display light, the eye can perceive more shades of green than the white/blue of white phosphor. Some people say white causes less eye strain for longer periods of time. TLDR: Anybody saying one is better then the other is probably trying to sell you something more expensive. just buy what ever you want.

TL;DR this guy is grift. Steer clear. If you want to use it to see more clearly at night for the sake of seeing more clearly, then buy it; you are accomplishing your mission. However, for the main reason that these things exist: it is to be able to conduct an action at night without a light signature. I can do that whether the color is green or white. This guy wants to compare a choice of color of NV with "living in the stone ages", which, contextually, doesn't mean anything nor does it convey an objective measure (if he wanted an objective measure, he would have added it to the video, albeit briefly). This guy feeds on the desire of others who equate ability with consumerism, where no-gos want to substitute skill, active planning, and expertise with higher priced or higher quality items. This guy is a grifter. He is not your battle buddy. He is not your team guy. He is a salesman of something (a product, or ad rev, or otherwise). This is a sales pitch, of which and by the way he talks, his target audience would expect to be teenagers "in the hip" or "with the trend". He targets stunted men. This guy reminds me of a politician trying to sell you something you don't need. He should have picked up a trade after his ETS, but he's not that kind of guy.

Have you ever looked through WP VS GP units side by side? WP is noticeably easier on eyes during long periods, and provides MUCH better contrast. Like he said, modern tubes are being made in WP more and more because not only is the market preferring it, but there are more advantages. My friend had a Green PVS14 for years and he loved it, once he looked through my WP PVS14 he immediately noticed the upgraded performance that comes from newer and better tech. ON TOP OF THAT, the modern WP tubes being made today have a much better and more efficient manufacturing method than the old GP tubes were that are on the market these days, simply put, we get better doing it the more we do it.

"Tubes" refer to the actual intensifier tube, the part of the NV that does all the work. Sometimes people call a complete unit "tube" because it's literally a tube you look through. Most people call units simply NVGs or NODs

The majority of those newer white phos tubes that art marketed as budget are made using gen 2 technology so they won’t be as bright as even a newer green phos gen 3, I own usnv pvs14 with a gen 3 tube and a wolf 14 with a photonis echo (white phos) and the green gives you MUCH MUCH more visibility in almost pitch black
