Great little video! What size and style is the preferred hook? I've heard octopus #8's are good...

Truly refreshing to see a beautiful and feminine woman who enjoys fishing and can impart her knowledge and experience to others. I did learn from this video and I am jealous of your husband! God bless everyone with good health and good fishing for 2020!

I know this is a year old, but I'll be doing some fishing on the Youghioheny outside of Ohiopyle PA in a couple weeks. Hoping this'll be the rig for trout in that river!

Thank you so much for posting this! When tying the rig do you use a swivel? I'm a little concerned about line twist

I have the same question. Could you tell me what you ended up doing?

What size weight and hook are best and how does river height affect the choice of weight?

we keep 3 sizes in stock - 1/8th oz, 3/16 oz, and 1/4 oz. Typically, the more water, the heavier you need to bounce it off the bottom. It's easy to tell, though. If you can't feel that weight *consistently* bouncing off the bottom of the river, you need more weight. We also use #4 aberdeen hooks.

or you can just get a three way swivel and tie everything to that

Trout see the swivels... our water is too clear here...
