How can that much talent exist in one man, every cover he's done has redefined that song. Why haven't I heard something he's written, as accomplished as he obviuosly is, he must have a large collection ready to be heard.

One of the inspirational songs that I listened to as a young musician. A local band practiced this song down the street from my house. I used to sit in front of the garage just getting in to it! They didn't like an audience while practicing so I kept a low profile. Lol

Jay....you have a soulful strong voice. You use it with clever dynamics. Bringing the power up from your stomach & then using a cornucopia of various throat controls, breathing, rasp etc to develop a much admired style. Your guitar playing reflects a great judgment of choice in the idioms that drive home your feeling, interpretation, & arrangement of all compositions you do. I would surely be honored to have you participate on tracks in the studio recording several of my original compositions. Wishing you the greatest inspiration & good fortune. Vince James (Ajello)

In the white room with black curtains near the station Black roof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes Dawn light smiles on you leaving, my contentment I'll wait in this place where the sun never shines Wait in this place where the shadows run from themselves You said no strings could secure you at the station Platform ticket, restless diesels, goodbye windows I walked into such a sad time at the station As I walked out, felt my own need just beginning I'll wait in the queue when the trains come back Lie with you where the shadows run from themselves At the party she was kindness in the hard crowd Consolation for the old wound now forgotten Yellow tigers crouched in jungles in her dark eyes She's just dressing, goodbye windows, tired starlings I'll sleep in this place with the lonely crowd Lie in the dark where the shadows run from themselves
