In hindsight they obviously left Cookie in a hitter or so too long, but I'm actually impressed with how he's pitched the last three games (considering everything) and also from Lively all year. We of course need rotation help, which we will hopefully get from Gavin coming back, as well as a bit of fine tuning for Triston in Columbus. Their hitting and resilience have been amazing, but we all of course want the Guards to go deep into the playoffs and not just make the postseason.

If Triston makes another start in the Majors I will be deeply disappointed-he has been a disaster his last 3 starts (7.2 IP, 12 earned runs, 5 HR's and 11 walks)-not only is it hurting the Guardians, it is not doing him any good as his confidence must be at a low-he leads the Majors in HR's and walks allowed-we need Williams ASAP and another starter-we are not going to get a star but at least somebody who will last 5-6 innings and not leave us in a hole-there is a limit to what our bullpen can do-I am in favor of a bullpen game against the Sox-let Avila and Curry pitch the 1st 6 innings before handing game over to our best relievers

@@jerrygoldfarb7739 I can’t disagree, but he did have a nice stretch in 2022 (I believe) after going back to the minors for a bit and then reeling off 10 quality starts with a sub-2 ERA. That would be a big bonus so not betting on it, but keeping a happy thought lol.

Not sure why some are suggesting the Guards try and get Bichette in a trade ... Gimenez's glove and arm have been impressive. Keep working on the hitting, and I think we're in pretty good shape at short.

Guardians fans will get what I'm saying. Regardless of their current record you know your starting pitching badly needs upgraded for October when every other starter besides Tanner Bibee if they get into the 4th inning and have only given up 1-2 runs you start thinking that's a solid start let's not get greedy and turn it over to the bullpen if one guy gets on base We need a couple inning eaters so the bullpen is not so overused. No savior is coming at the deadline and can't put it all on Gavin because the dude hasn't pitched an inning. We don't need Steve Carlton or Nolan Ryan we need a guy that can get into inning 6 beyond Tanner
